Treetop Retreat on the Guadalupe Ultra Private 3rd Floor End Unit

Treetop Retreat is a privately owned condo at Waterwheel Condominiums on the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels. Our ultra-private 3rd floor end unit offers a private balcony and no foot-traffic in front of your door or noise above you. Access is easy with the elevator in front of the C building...just a short walk across the terrace. This spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo has floor to ceiling windows and a private balcony facing the beautiful Guadalupe river-front expanse. With a king bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in the guest room, and a full size sleeper sofa, this unit comfortably sleeps 6 guests.

Waterwheel is a condominium community of privately-owned homes nestled in a residential neighborhood, offering the tranquil feel of a river-front retreat while being right off center of the heart of New Braunfels action. Lounge at one of the two pools, soak in one of the four hot tubs. Plant your camping chair in the river and read a book or fish to your heart's content. Walk or drive 6 blocks to Schlitterbahn. Walk around the corner to Cypress Bend Park for a short float back to Waterwheel. Drive to Hinman Island, Landa Park, downtown New Braunfels, or Historic Gruene in under 5 minutes.

Enjoy all the comforts of home including a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, WiFi, and cable TV. Enjoy personal touches ...tubes and air pumps are provided for guests to use along with a host of tubing information. Books, board games, and dvd's are waiting for you when you come in from fun in the sun. Plenty of local-area information is available to help you plan your adventures, and I'm always available to answer your questions.

There is a private bathroom with shower-tub in the master bedroom and a bathroom with walk-in shower with entry to the hall and second bedroom. The unit has a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, coffee pot, microwave, and garbage disposal. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of flatware, cookware, and dishes, along with consumables such as coffee, sweeteners, and creamer, dish soap, laundry soap, and paper towels. There is a stack-able washer and dryer and plenty of extra linens.

The door is equipped with a digital lock, and each guest receives a unique code for their stay. No need to check in anywhere, and no waiting around for a manager to bring you a key. Arrive, let yourself in, and make yourself at home!

Spring in the Hill Country

We always enjoy the Hill Country in spring. This was a great centralized location to venture out on day trips to other Hill Country locations. Took one day just to lay by the pool and read on a blanket under the trees by the river and it was very relaxing. Great communication with the owner and found the accommodation to be quiet and relaxing.

Mother’s Day weekend

Our stay was amazing! The host had a binder full of tubing locations, tubes with air pumps, beach towels AND sunscreen for us to use. Our kiddos loved the on site pool. We spotted several squirrels and birds in the tree next to the porch. Thank you for the stay!

Wurstfest getaway!

We came to town for Wurstfest- our first year bringing an infant with us so the fact that the check in was so easy, the property was clean but cozy, and in a great location were big perks! We were so close to downtown and to Gruene, We actually loved being on the top floor with no one above us or to one side of us, as well as facing our to the back of the property versus parking lot/other buildings. Would absolutely stay here again!!

We had a great time staying at the property! It was a very private unit with a great patio and view. Comfortably accommodated 3 adults. Nice jacuzzi and pool and private river access. Suzanne was very responsive and clearly communicated details about the stay.

Birthday Celebration

We came to New Braunsfels to celebrate my daughter’s birthday at Schlitterbahn. We enjoyed our stay at the Treetop Retreat. It was very clean, in a safe and centralized location, and it was roomy enough for the 4 of us. The check in and out process was very easy. Loved seeing the deer out on the landscape. Wish we would have had more time to explore the grounds. We would definitely stay here again.

Nicely kept condo on 3rd floor. Allowed for pretty views and deer watching. Pool and hot tubs were fun extra. Small balcony just right for coffee in the morning with the birds and deer.

Great spot!

We enjoyed our stay here. Came with my family of 4 and we were very comfortable. The pool options were nice, but we spent most of our time in the river next to the property. The apartment itself had everything we needed. You’ll definitely get your steps in walking around the property! Close proximity to everything we needed in town, and to Gruene. Would recommend!
