The space was very clean. It was exactly as portrayed. Very secluded and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. Since I was not there much, I did not do any cooking. I sat outside each morning to have coffee and watched the deer go by.
Attached to a garage so it looks a little strange from the outside, but was really nice on the inside and perfect for a couple wanting to stay on the Blanco River. The property is really nice too with a maintained trail and stairway down to the river.
We stayed at this property in June 2022. It’s not in the center of town but it’s close enough to drive to wherever you need to go in Wimberley. That’s what we liked and wanted. There were Fox and deer both times we stayed, which I enjoyed A LOT! I’m a nature buff and huge animal lover, so the little family of foxes that were there this year made the trip for me. It’s a quiet &
peaceful cabin that’s perfect for a couples getaway.
The Lavender was so clean and comfortable! It was the perfect place for my husband and I to be alone and relax for our anniversary. We enjoy driving into the beautiful country, so this was a perfect 15-20 minute drive to Wimberley for us. It’s also within reasonable driving distance to many other interesting places like Dripping Springs, Blanco, Fredericksburg. The bed was incredibly comfortable! And the sheets and towels smelled so good. There’s a trail you can walk to the river bed. It was dry when we were there, but still a nice walk. We saw deer. It was honestly one of the best experiences we’ve had. We highly recommend this place for a quiet, comfortable stay.
Everything was great. Being in the woods obviously will bring more spiders, and crickets, and other random insects. So don’t panick
A strip under the front door would help the extra guests from hanging out with us. lol
We cooked steaks out on the grill, and enjoyed the complete darkness and quiet life. During the day we explored surrounding areas like Johnson city. We also love Wimberley in general, and has great food options to dine out.
Check out time said 10 in most places so we left right before 10. But a couple papers inside said 11.
Overall cozy, calm, and away from the big city lights and noise.
My husband and I had a quick last minute long weekend getaway. The barn was fully stocked, bed was super comfy, and it was so nice to grill outside in the evenings and enjoy nature.
If you are wanting to get away from the daily grind this is your place! Very peaceful and quiet. Deer were on the property everyday we were there! We enjoyed our stay.
We had a great time at this property. It was clean and exactly as described. We enjoyed the swing down the trail from the house. All cookware and utensils were provided. We would definitely stay again.
My wife and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary in this lovely cabin, just outside of Wimberly. The cabin was clean and well appointed, and we enjoyed watching the deer wandering through the trees in front of us in the morning and evenings. The hosts were very friendly, but very careful to not be intrusive, and helped in every way whenever requested. We loved access to the swimming lakes near by, and would definitely return to stay here again if we head back to that part of Texas.

Broken chair
The walkway that’s were overgrown with tall grass, had a cute porch for drinking coffee in the morning but one of the rocking chairs was broken. There was coffee but not any coffee filters. It was peaceful and beautiful property just was not maintained right.
Very cute and cozy. However, we experienced some problems with spiders indoors.. lots of them. We did communicate this with management and they apologized for discomfort. They confirmed that they would address the problem before the next guest, which is good! Wifi only works outside the property. Best signal out in the porch. We did have to disconnect the air freshener plugins when we arrived because they were soooo strong and instantly gave us a headache. If you're sensitive to fragrance I highly suggest you communicate with owner before check-in to maybe disconnect their air fresheners before you come in. The bathroom sink was beautiful but really tall as well as kitchen cabinets. If you're short, bring a step stool. No iron or ironing board on property... bring your own if you need one. Overall it's a very cute property and I wish I could give more stars, but unfortunately the spider situation was very disturbing, inside and out. Problem should be solved and hopefully door will be sealed before next guest so you should be good.
The place was cute but the dishes still had food on them.Stuck on old food on utensils. The grill had food stuck on it and ashes were not cleaned out of it .It was very peaceful and we'll equipped.Watching the deer and birds in mornings was nice
One of the best things was the stair access to the river bed. My dog and I spent a good deal of time exploring the area. Everything inside was well organized and easy to find. Additionally, you are not far from hiking trails, Canyon Lake, and some really nice wineries. I would definitely consider coming back.
it was perfect...well, if it had had a little apt. washer and dryer it would have been perfect, but we didn't expect to stay so long. We were running from Hurricane Laura, then stranded once we could return home. But Wimberley has a great laundromat! We spent a lot of time on property, as the views were stunning and the place was peaceful. Nice Evacucation!
My husband, my dog and I really enjoyed our time at Lavender Fields! We love hiking and being outdoors and this property was perfect for that. As soon as we checked in we went exploring, made it through the tall grass to the river (which was dry) hiked along the rocks until we made it to water for our dog to swim. We saw people swimming as well but we didn’t dress accordingly otherwise we probably would’ve jumped in too! We played horse shoes back at the property and enjoyed being outside on the patio. It was close distance to downtown Wimberley (20 min) and Dripping Springs (30-50 min depending where you go) so we got to do a lot of different and fun things. There was just one unfortunate issue, we didn’t let it ruin our time but feel it must be addressed. The apartment is attached to a garage. When we arrived the smell of air fresheners was overwhelming, so when I saw a plugin near the stove I removed it. When the smell was still strong I realized there were 2 more plugins that I removed. Now I thought it was strange to have 3 plugins for such a small space (400-500 sqft if I had to guess). Then I figured out why they were there. Throughout the night I kept waking up to the smell of gasoline. It got worse as the night went on until finally I had to go outside for some fresh air. We called the property manager in the morning and later that day they were able to remove the gas cans that were being stored in the garage. But we spent our morning opening windows, running fans and air vents just to be comfortable inside. Luckily the AC works well even with open windows but that doesn’t make up for the fact that we were inhaling those fumes. It was disappointing and potentially dangerous but we made it! I hope they consider this in the future for others stays so it doesn’t happen to someone else.
