Perfect location for restaurants and all the local attractions. Parked our car at the B&B and walked the entire weekend. The owners could not of been more accommodating and the breakfast was to die for.

This B&B provided what was probably the best B&B experience we have ever had. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, as were the public rooms. and our bed was very comfortable. Adequate parking was available in the rear of the property. The breakfast food was amazing. Innkeepers Tracy and Gretchen Du Peza could not have been nicer, especially when we missed the usual check in time by several hours. The rate was more than reasonable. We will certainly stay at the Benjamin Ellis House again the next time we are in New Bern.

This B&B was lovely. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The inn was beautiful and very clean. Welcoming and charming. We will definitely go back.

Great B & B
Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. This B & B is close to restaurants and shops. Very nice place and nice hosts. Would definitely recommend and stay again uf in the area

Owner welcoming and provided lots of information about facility and area. It was very easy to walk around town and then come back to B&B to rest and freshen up. Breakfast was delicious. B&B also offered in house water and drinks with fresh cookies.

We were happily greeted by Tracy & Gretchen who provided us with everything we needed to make our stay in Benjamin Ellis House B&B quite enjoyable. Most places we went were within walking distance. Breakfast was excellent. Interaction with other guests was a bonus. We would definitely stay here again while in New Bern.

What a wonderful little stay during our time in New Bern! Our room was very clean and comfortable, and our hosts were welcoming and friendly. The location is wonderful and An effortless walk to local attractions! I couldn’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely return next time we’re in town.

Just the perfect place to stay in the heart of historic New Bern. Living in a 150 year old home is the way to enjoy a historic community. Will definitely return.

The Perfect Place for a Visit to New Bern
Lovely and elegant home in the heart of old New Bern. A very short walk to New Bern Palace, the History Center, many of the best restaurants, tourist trolly stop, quaint shops, and the waterfront. Deluxe delicious breakfast, served by the very friendly hosts.

We had a lovely, spacious room with lots of light, beautiful furniture, of course. There are very special blinds, which can be adjusted to prevent outside light from entering the room at night. Delighted to find a little espresso machine for the guests to use. The inn-keepers were helpful and accommodating, and very interesting. Breakfasts were delightful, in terms of food, but also in conversation.

Highly recommend!
The Benjamin Ellis House was very nice, clean and peaceful. The breakfast we had was delicious. The Du Peza's were very nice hosts. I would highly recommend a stay there!

Wonderful historical bed and breakfast. Hosts were very accommodating and helpful. Room had very comfortable bed, bedding and amenities. Coffee, sodas, water, cookies and snacks available 24/7. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. We will definitely be back.

What a wonderful place. The room was beautiful, the bed was oh so comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and we were fortunate to share it with some other fun and interesting guests. We will absolutely return.

Easy to get to. Off street parking. Could not have found a better location for attending Mumfest. Owners were great! I really like not having to fool with any paperwork. We will definately return.

Nicely kept historic home in a great location convenient to the water front. Bed was reasonably comfortable and with nice linen. TV was a little small and breakfast was on the light side. A few breakfast options would have been nice such as as conventional menu items like eggs and toast.
