We very much enjoyed staying at The Maltings - the building is full of character and very homely. The hot tub was great and the slippers and robes provided. It is very peaceful in a rural location, but near to attractions (slightly tricky to find from just the postcode provided). Would recommend staying here, thank you Nick!
A fabulous property with everything we needed and so much more. Quirky, clean, peaceful and fun. Hot tub enjoyed by the humans and the dog enjoyed the huge enclosed garden. Would highly recommend and would live to go back to the property again. Weather was an added bonus.

We enjoyed a weekend stay here
We enjoyed a weekend stay here. The host was always quick to respond with any queriesquestions we had. The house is well equipped with everything we needed. Lovely spacious house and garden. The snow and ice made our journey to and from the house a bit interesting but despite the weather the house was always cosy and warm. We would happily stay again!

Incredible stay
We had an amazing stay with our family, spacious and well equipped house with a huge decking and garden area. A little out from Aviemore and the activities but in a lovely remote part of the highlands. The lived in feel of the property meant we did feel like it was a home from home and the kids could play inside and outside without damaging or breaking anything. We have booked again immediately for next year!
Minor points around decking being a little worn for toddlers walking on and no firelighters for the wood burner. Cannot fault anything else

We had a great time at the Maltings
We had a great time at the Maltings. Nick was very helpful in the run-up in answering all my questions. The place itself was great - really lovely conversion of an old mill with great mods like the hot tub. It was also well located for activities - we went skiing at Cairngorm moutain (about a 40 min drive) and walking in Abernethy forest. Would happily recommend!

Every detail seemed to have been thought of to make our stay as comfortable and as home from home as possible. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
Details of where the bins are located was very unclear and we spent the first fews days of our stay trying to locate them. Eventually we had to contact igloo to give us specific details.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage
We are so glad we found this cottage! It is in beautiful surroundings and is ideal for a friends/family getaway! It has everything you need from the comfortable beds to the log fire to the hot tub to the games room. It’s a great size and well laid out. The large enclosed garden is perfect for the dog too! We walked into Nethybridge, which took about 50mins. Nick from Igloo gave great help and information and nothing was any bother.!
We got a bit lost on way and the snow didn’t help with seeing signs. But maybe photos of bin store entrance and right turn road once over bridge.
Great Lodge - nice space in garden, quite location
8 of the family joined us to hike up Munro's - annual event we will be back.
On arrival we had a big storm that generated water under the front door, which flooded the dining room, the IGLOO team immediately responded and came in to clean up the flash flood. That night and came back in the morning to do a deep clean of the dining room. We would recommend this property as a great base.
They offered to move us but this wasn't needed thank you for your great support.

Excellent remote location
We really love staying at the Maltings, it's a really peaceful remote location but not too far from Nethy Bridge or Grantown. The house itself has lots of interesting features and is immaculate. The garden is huge and a great place to spot wildlife. We even had an owl swoop down over the garden while we were in the hot tub, amazing sight!
Parts of the decking need repairing - it has started to rot at the top of the steps. My wife nearly tripped until we put something over it. Other than that everything was perfect.

wonderful place, magic, in the middle of forest, stylish, clean, full equipped very quiet
wonderful place, magic, in the middle of forest, stylish, clean, full equipped very quiet. More beautiful than what pictures show, definitely. Nethy Bridge is such a beautiful town!!! the arrival was at night so it took us some extra time to understand how to get there, regarding that the original way is now closed. we also had a problem with the washing machine, nick was very available to help although the problem was finally not solved. In spite of this, the vacation was a dream and the place is recommendable 100%!
The property was a little hard to find. One access route is used but not the one linked to the bin store- which was a little inconvenient. However the Maltings was incredibly well maintained, with everything one would need to spend a week in sublime sunshine with heat of 26 degree's in October. The kitchen was fully stocked with all necessary items for my husband - who still takes his own knives and half a kitchen everywhere we go. The garden was inclosed minus a small gap that the dog wiggled through at the gate, we put some rocks up against it to stop his great escape attempt two. This was no issue ( he is a small dog). Although the place was well kept, there was a broken chair on arrival, a bulb or two out on some lights and it would be nice to have a proper brochure of how to use the facilities. It took us a few online searches to get the oven working, we never managed to understand the ice machine, and we couldnt figure out where the keys where for the outdoor storage area untill we emailed to ask. None of these things put a dampner on what was a perfect holiday celebrating my big birthday with friends and family. We lucked out with the weather, surrounded by the stunning autumnal colours.

Winter wonderland
We took our family to this lodge to celebrate a special birthday and were not disappointed. The facilities are top notch and the fact that there were Christmas decorations and the snow turned up as well made the whole experience!
We used everything, the games, log burner, hot tub and the “garden” was huge and much appreciated by us and our two dogs.
We loved this place and would recommend it!
Because we don’t have a 4 x 4 the snow became a problem for us. We drove up the hill to try to get out of the valley and became stuck. We reversed back and got turned and down the hill but that was only because there was a local person who told us to go down the track to the main road. They waited at the bottom to make sure we got out. Extremely nice people.
It might help to direct (or at least recommend) people to use the downhill road for in and out.
Rooms were spacious and clean. Didnt see host but were made welcome. We had no pets. Situated in National Park made travelling to activites easy. Lots of outdoor pursuits, Landmark Centre, mountain biking, canoeing, many well-marked walks, Cairgorm venicular railway (to name but a few) available for young and old.

We had a great stay the cottage is gorgeous, so cosy and a lovely space to relax
We had a great stay the cottage is gorgeous, so cosy and a lovely space to relax. Loved the hot tub and enclosed garden. Our only (minor) issue was discovering that using the oven tripped the electrics, making dinners hard to sort. Nick was responsive when we messaged about this, although this issue was not resolved whilst we were there hopefully fixed for future guests. Stove top was fine. Other than that, we love the cottage and had a wonderful time - would definitely stay again!
Outstanding home in a very convenient location for hiking and exploring Cairngorms National Park. Well stocked and clean. Hot tub was great after a long day of hiking. Strongly recommend!

The Maltings
The house was pretty, spacious, well equipped and had some nice original features and was generally comfortable to stay in. The peacefulness, solitude and large enclosed garden with summer house was fantastic. It was lovely sitting watching the swifts? flying low over the grass. We had a pheasant visitor too. The hot tub was nice . The washing machine was easy to use . Nick and Erin were nice to deal with and replied promptly to emails.
We were disappointed there was not an EV charger for our hybrid car and that we were not allowed to use a granny plug. The electricity tripped a couple of times but was easy enough to switch back on. The decking is a bit dodgy (large step down on to grass) and some planks looked a bit worn. (Just for your information , as this is just nature , but there was a possible wasp nest above the utility room door with wasps often walking on the decking . We just had to be vigilant all the time especially when the grandchildren were going outside) The bridge is no longer out , but the directions only mention the other access road but we felt the road over the new bridge although longer was a bit better to access the property. Maybe an actual washing line and more pegs would have been useful. The big ring of the gas stove looked a bit odd as if it has had some damage at some point. It worked fine but we had to be careful when igniting it as it did ignite with a bit flash. A radio in the kitchen or dining room would have been a nice touch.
