If you're on a budget, it's a good place to stay. However, you need to make sure you've been in contact with the property prior to check-in to receive the needed information. Lack of parking was also a minus. Overall, very clean, quiet, and convenient.

Basic, no frills place to sleep

Our family of 4 (2 boys ages 10 & 8) stayed at Kastytis for one night while visiting Nida. We stayed in the room with 2 double beds, a bathroom and a fridge. We had to wait about 25 minutes for them to get our room ready, but it was clean after they finished. There was no parking available and we had to park on the street about 1 mile (1.6km) from the hotel. Overall, it was an okay place to stay if you are just looking for a place to sleep.

Underbart boende.

Väldigt mysigt boende uppe på en kulle precis vid skogen. Gångavstånd till allt. Detta va den bästa delen av våran resa i Litauen.

Geschäftsführerin war bemüht, aber anscheint überfordert. Auf Bettbezügen gelbliche Flecken und Haare. Möchte nicht behaupten das die Bettwäsche nicht gewaschen war, aber durch die Flecken sah es so aus.Den Allgemeinen Zustand um das Gebäude fand ich mangelhaft. Ich brauche keinen Luxus, aber sauber und ordentlich muß es schon sein.

This property was first of all very difficult to find, even after speaking with the reception girl. It is in the woods on a hill, accessible only by climbing a long steep stairway (NO parking) or by navigating a very narrow driveway through the woods at the end of which there are three parking spaces. If all three are taken, there is no chance to turn the car around and so you end up driving out of the property in reverse for some 500 meters! This is what the very misleading website describes as "limited parking". We had a "marina view" room which offered a glimpse of the baywater through the trees. The room was very small as was the double bed. It had a sink with cold water but no shower. Showers were at the ground level of the property, a long walk away from the room. In general, the property was very old and not at all appealing in any way.

Sistemazione spartana, buona posizione

Più che un hotel è una sorta di ostello con camere molto basiche e servizi condivisi che in periodi di alta stagione come in estate sono di numero forse insufficiente e comunque non sempre forniti di sapone. Lo staff è comunque molto cortese e la posizione ottima, con un lungo molo proprio davanti in cui andare pet godersi il tramonto o l’alba in assoluto relax. Cucina in comune e caffè e thè a disposizione degli ospiti gratuitamente. Molte zanzare nella zona, ma in una laguna è normale. Se si cerca la comodità non è forse il posto più indicato ma con un po’ di adattamento e pazienza il soggiorno può comunque essere piacevole.
