Located in Nelsonville, OH, The Raven A-Frame is a custom built cabin completed in 2023. Whether you're exploring Hocking Hills, visiting Ohio University, or wanting to relax and unwind, we've got you covered. Offering a fully equipped kitchen, cozy cotton bedding, 6 person hot tub, stone fire pit, and 22 foot ceilings with large windows perfect for bird and deer watching, you won't want to leave.

3 minutes to Nelsonville Public Square/Stuart's Opera House
20 minutes to Ohio University
30 minutes to Hocking Hills Visitor Center

In an effort to be as transparent as possible, please note that if you're looking for absolute, total privacy, The Raven may not be for you. You will have privacy, as the cabin is surrounded by woods and has a 300 foot treelined, gravel driveway, but during the winter months when there are no leaves on the trees, other houses are visible. The cabin is built on a hillside and any neighbors are down below.

Also, while the cabin is not built near the highway, you can see the highway during the winter months. During the summer and fall, the leaves block it from sight and filter most noise. It is "in town" in an established neighborhood of Nelsonville. Being in town allows for easy access to things like grocery stores and restaurants, but does not allow for the complete solitude that some guests desire.

This was an amazing spot to stay with my kids! Beautiful home. Great location, not far from Hocking Hills! Relaxing and Jennifer really did not forget anything as far as comfort and amenities go! We would definitely go back 100% recommend!

I stayed at the cabin by myself the first night so I could stay focused on a work project. It was the perfect place to work! It was also the perfect place to relax and enjoy a fire! Extremely clean and stall of amenities. Probably the best stocked rental you can find!

Exceptional!!! Very romantic, quiet , and relaxing. I knew this place was perfect when my husband kept expressing how great it was and how the hosts literally thought about EVERYTHING you could possibly need. This was an anniversary trip for us and the minor details to everything was a major plus. Interaction with the host was very quick and the extended check out is greatly appreciated! Relax and Recharge

We spent 2 days at the Raven and I can’t rave about it enough. This is the cleanest, most thoughtfully appointed and stocked VRBO I have encountered. The hosts are appropriately attentive and communicative and make it easy for guests to show up and transition into a new space. We enjoyed hiking, reading, drinking coffee, listening to music, talking, and eating some great food (and snacks). Can’t wait to come back.

Perfection

My fiancée and I have always wanted to stay in an A-frame, and this one did not disappoint! Jen and Corey answered all of our questions, and when we walked in everything was immaculate. They really thought about all the small details. Everything was lit up when we pulled in, and even the smallest touches made a difference! It was a bit further from the trails we wanted to do, but it was worth it! We will be back- and will be telling all of our friends so they can enjoy this perfect A-frame too!

Peaceful Retreat

It is obvious that the hosts of the Raven have given consideration to so many details that make a difference during your stay. The property is situated back from the road and neighbors, which made it a little challenging to find the first time, but also added to peace and quiet while we were there. We saw deer in the yard each night. They had coffee available and I was so happy to find creamer in the refrigerator! Typically, the first few minutes after we get to a VRBO we have to find a local store to get creamer for the morning coffee. Something so simple, but saved us an immediate trip to the store. The kitchen was fully stocked and ready to use. The property has a washer and dryer available to use as well. The patio lights added the perfect touch. The property felt more remote than it truly was and was a quick drive to Hocking Hills park and other nearby towns which also offered activities and restaurants. The property owner was extremely helpful in offering suggestions and responded quickly if a question arose. Would highly recommend this property if you are considering a trip to the area!

This place is beautiful! New and clean and every amenity you could think of! The outdoor jetted spa was great. It was a great place to relax and the proximity being close to town and close to hiking trails in Hocking Hills, makes it an ideal place to stay. I will say it is closer to the interstate than I thought it would be, and sometime we could hear the traffic. Besides that, we would definitely recommend and will stay again when we are in the area.
