A lovely Victorian family home in a residential neighbourhood has been converted into a comfortable B&B, ably run by Jules and Ray. It really feels like arriving in a family home when entering through the fabulous wide hall. Nice sunny bedroom with en-suite, a comfortable bed and small easy-chairs and table. There is a kettle and a fridge to keep your wine or soda.
It's easy to see that there is an artistic bend in the family. Over the years Jules and Ray have collected art, and paintings and fabulous pottery are displayed all throughout the house, including the guest lounge where the generous breakfast is served by Jules. Note: the coffee is very good and eggs come as you like them, with or without bacon.
Breakfast company on one of the mornings was from France and from the North Island and a look in the visitors' book showed guests from around the globe had been happy there, as had we.
