Nolhivaranfaru
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (1 review)
"My 21-day stay at Nolhi Escape in January was a delightful experience. My room was large, well air-conditioned and comfortable and the staff cleaned it whenever I asked. There is plenty of hot water, the guesthouse has a lush garden and is quiet (you can hear the prayers from a nearby mosque five times a day, but they never woke me). Nolhivaranfaru, the small island on which Nolhi Escape is located, isn't the place for someone seeking a resort experience -- there are few tourists, no large...

"To start off we stayed her for 3 nights after a liveaboard dive trip during the off season. we were looking to rest and relax and we got that. The room was comfortable the bed was two twins put together but pretty comfortable. Great shower. English was only spoken by the nice gal in reception but she is only there from 8:30 - 6:00. Nothing against the staff we found this true on the island in general. Wi-Fi is good we did stream video with no issue. we couldn't see the beach because of the...

"My wife and I got married in June 2015, but it is only during Christmas 2016 that we decided to go on our honeymoon. The Maldives and the Cerulean View Residence was our first destination where we stayed for a whole week. We didn't have a big budget, so we couldn't go on a resort. So when we looked for a room that would be below £100, this hotel caught our attention. The hotel is located in Hanimaadhoo, and it is facing the beach. The condition of the hotel is very good and the staff are...

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Nellaidhoo?
While Nellaidhoo is a fantastic destination year-round, the best time to go for optimal weather and conditions is typically between November and April.

This period, often referred to as the dry season, offers plenty of sunshine and very little rain. The seas are generally calm and clear, which is great for water activities like snorkelling, diving, and boat excursions. Temperatures are consistently warm, averaging around 28-30°C, making it ideal for relaxing on the beach and enjoying the outdoors.

Couples looking for a romantic escape will find this time particularly appealing. The consistent good weather ensures uninterrupted days for activities like sunset cruises, private dinners on the beach, and simply enjoying the tranquil surroundings without concern for sudden downpours. The calm waters also make for excellent visibility for underwater exploration together.

For travellers planning a family holiday, the dry season is also the most convenient. Predictable sunny days mean children can enjoy the beaches and resort facilities without disruption.
