"I was COMPLETELY & UTTERLY disappointed with our stay. I am TRULY bewildered with the fact this is SUPPOSED to be a 5-star hotel! I have wanted to stay here since I saw the hotel on the movie Last Holiday….do yourself a favor, DO NOT spend the time, expense, nor travel to waste it all!!! I’m sure at one time, during its “heyday” it was a lovely place to stay, however, we found the public spaces were worn, sad, barren, smelly and dirty (looked as though no one had vacuumed nor dusted for months!) The carpets are in desperate need of replacement, it needs to be painted, as well as simple repairs throughout. Though, I must add, our room itself was very clean (small miracle). Attention: Hotel Pupp employee who is responsible for comment evaluation: Do NOT leave me a canned response as you have with every other person who has left comments. For YEARS, you have known and are completely aware of the degradation of this establishment, yet nothing is done about it!! These comments are STRICTLY to let others know about the sad situation which will befall them if they still decide to visit. I truly wish I would have read the reviews BEFORE I stayed. Lesson learned😞"

"The heaters didn’t work. They would fix them and then the next day, they didn’t work. They don’t have covers/blankets either, just small twin size covers like a twin mattress pad. The restaurant was the best part and so was the location!"

"Beautiful property. We were in 3rd villa. It means we had to walk thru outside to get to the restaurant and spa. But our room was very clean and comfortable with beautiful view. The area is amazing next to beautiful forrest like park. Very walkable, but walk is up and down, hotel is up on a hill. We were able to walk all over town. Friendly front desk staff, responsive to your requests."
