Το χωριό είναι το μεγαλύτερο των Κυκλάδων διαθέτει εστιατόρια, ταβέρνες, καφετέριες, σούπερ μάρκετ, φούρνους, κρεοπωλεία, ιατρείο, φαρμακείο, παιδιατρειο και atm τραπεζών. Απέχει 19 χιλιόμετρα από τη χώρα της Νάξου και είναι στο κέντρο του νησιού, ιδανική τοποθεσία για κάποιον που θέλει να γυρίσει όλο το νησί και να ανέβει στην κορυφή του Ζα στα 1003 μέτρα υψόμετρο. Υπάρχουν πάρα πολλές διαδρομές που μπορείς να κάνεις πεζοπορία και φυσικά για μεγαλύτερη άνεση θα ήταν καλό να υπάρχει αυτοκίνητο. Παρόλα αυτά εάν δεν υπερέχει τέτοια δυνατότητα υπάρχουν καθημερινά πολλά ΚΤΕΛ μέσα στην ημέρα για διάφορες διαδρομές. Ειναι μαγικά να πίνεις τον καφέ σου ή το ποτό σου σε αυτή τη μαγευτική αυλή…14 και 15 Αυγούστου είναι η γιορτή της Παναγίας με πολύ μεγάλο πανηγύρι στο χωριό! Είναι μαγικό να περπατήσει κανείς μέσα στα σοκάκια του χωριού και περνοντας από τη γειτονιά του Φασολα και κάνοντας μια στάση για να δει κανείς την παλιά αγορά να πάει στο κέντρο του χωριού και στην Παναγία μέσω αυτής της διαδρομής.
