"My family and I were in town for a dance competition. The location of the event was within steps from hotel to stage and made our stay even more beneficial. We were very pleased with easy check in, valet parking was wonderful and everyone very helpful. The room was spotless and had all amenities one would need if forgotten at home. The lobby also had snacks and other things if need be. I think it is a new policy, but breakfast now cost $15 per person and $10 per child under 11. We were not aware of that when booking and understood it was free. We later found out that dancers ate free so we only had breakfast one time. It was decent, no complaints. What you would typically expect from a continental breakfast. Was it worth what they are now charging...absolutely not. So if you want more bang for your buck, door dash or leave and go where you would like. If you want convenience and just to grab a bite and go...have the breakfast. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be staying there our next competition hands down. "

"The Derby Inn was Fantastic! Rustic getaway smack in the middle of Central Ave. Short walk to Oaklawn racing/casino and of course the historic Rocky's corner! Very cozy, extremely clean, bed super comfy, and the TV is HUGE along with Fireplace, really sets the atmosphere for relaxation right in the middle of the city. Check in was very smooth and nice to have gated area with contactless entry - no key or card to carry around was very nice. Staff (which is onsite during the day) is SUPER Friendly and helpful! Stayed in the King Rustic and I can't say enough about how cozy and comfy this place is. Will definitely stay here again!"
