Top National Library of Wales Hotel Reviews
Harry's Hotel
8/10 Good
"Only stayed for one night due to a family funeral in the area. We stopped in a 2 bedroom family room. The rooms were clean, smelt fresh and were big enough for what we needed.. staff were wonderful and helpful. Breakfast was included in the price (continental breakfast only) and was adequate, im not a breakfast person but my kids enjoyed it."
The Glengower
10/10 Excellent
"Great location right on the sea front. Lovely rooms and very comfy bed. The bedrooms and on suites appear to have all been recently renovated. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was lovely. The only slight drawback is the parking - there isn't any. So, we had to risk parking on a random street away from the hotel. Also, the air vent for the kitchen extraction is like an aircraft engine blasting away right at the front of the building where the outdoor seating is."
The Cardigan Bay Guest House

"Good place to say overlooking the beach and close to shops"
Harleys Aberystwyth

"In a good location and clean"
Gwesty'r Marine Hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely sea front hotel in good location. Room was comfortable, nice restaurants in walking distance and lovely spa, just a shame we didn’t get to try any treatments (no information provided) or the steam room (they took too long to switch it on…)."
Bodalwyn Guest House

"Very convenient and clean, good location and parking possibilities. Comfortable room, enough space for luggage and good amenities"
Large 5 bedroom town-centre home close to the beach, sleeps 9.

"We stayed as a multi generational group for our daughter’s graduation at Aber uni. Jason’s house was ideal. It was clean and well equipt, lots of toilet roll (always an annoyance in many lets!), very well equipt kitchen with dishwasher & lots of fridge & freezer space, lots of games and we were very grateful for the fans left in every room. We were concerned about the parking when we booked but this was never a problem (& we came with 3 cars). We often found street parking nearby or used the football club long stay car park which was good value. The house is in the town centre but apart from the seagulls it was quiet. An easy walk to the beach, shops & restaurants. We had a great time & would love to stay again. Thank you."
Celtic Bay Guest House
8/10 Good
"Had a lovely stay here. Staff were helpful, location was perfect, room was really clean and it was amazing to have a sea view and be sent off to sleep by the sound of the waves on shingle! I would have rated it 5 stars if it hadn't been just a bit frayed around the edges - carpet was worn through and it was a shame the double glazing was shot as it was difficult to properly watch the sea through the condensation! Would definitely recommend for a no-frills stay in Aberystwyth."
Luxury town centre 2 bedroom apartment
10/10 Excellent
"The physical key and fob was in a lock box outside the first floor unit, which had a sliding door accessible from outside. The instructions could have been a little clearer, but we figured it out. The fob gets you in the buidling, while the key gets you in the flat. The unit itself was clean and well-maintained. It was right around the corner from my daughter's flat, so the location was perfect for us. It was about 10 minutes' walk from anywhere in Aberystwyth. The bedding was pretty great - plenty of comfortable pillows and towels. The master has an ensuite and there is an additional bath as well. The only downside was that it was up on a hill. However, Aber in general is pretty hilly, so that's to be expected. There is a stairway that makes it a much gentler incline, which helped. We didn't have a car, so we had to go up the hill or take the stairway. There are seagulls everywhere. And loud. Highly recommend turning on white noise to help you sleep at night. The pictures are pretty accurate and I'd definitely stay again!"
