Very new, clean, and well taken care of facility. There is a different type of special care in the hotel that one finds in the very best of family owned businesses. Fantastic breakfast and walking distance to the city center and the port.

Great host of this nice, clean and convenient property. We stayed for one night. Staff was flexible as we have to leave at 5am in the morning.

The family that runs this hostel is super great. They were able to store our luggage, the breakfast was the best of any place we stayed, and they even found a pair of glasses that I left underneath the bed. Super clean and really well done! Great sunny, sitting area to read, and they even let us store some food in the refrigerator

smooth checkin beatriz is amazing felt very homely and comfy walk to bus station is approx 7 mins not many shops nearby, you have to walk 15 20 mins for restaraunt options.

Wonderful stay, great location
Great stay for before and after doing the O-trek in Torres. Lady at the front was so sweet and welcoming. Let us keep a bunch of bags stored at no charge for the whole 8 days we were gone. Breakfast was solid especially getting fresh scrambled eggs! Rooms were clean and spacious. Perfect location next to cafe, laundry, and super close to bus terminal for early morning departure. This is a small operation that clearly cares about their guests and the quality of their experience, we were so grateful for them and would 100% recommend to anyone staying in PN.

We had a lovely stay here. Beatriz the owner is friendly and the staff is also lovely. The eggs served at breakfast are delicious! I had a medical emergency and together with my wife, we were very fortunate to have the support of the staff to get through it.

A consistent stay amidst hectic travels
We stayed here 3 times over the course of our 3 week trip to Patagonia, for a total of 4 nights. This was the most consistently clean and comfortable stay. The staff is incredibly warm and helpful. Shower pressure is STRONG! Beds are comfortable and warm. Hotel is walking distance to the bus stop which is highly convenient. Can’t recommend this place enough.

The American Hostal is extremely clean. All floors, surfaces and linens are pristine. The owners and staff are friendly and beyond helpful – providing recommendations, directions and storing bags for people heading out to Patagonia to hike. They cater to the hiking crowd, serving an early breakfast so you catch the first bus to Patagonia. We had a small medical emergency while there and the family owners provided extra help, offering to drive us to hospital etc. They are very kind and dedicated people. It is well located and safe. An easy 5 min walk to the bus depot, a full-service laundry nearby and about a 8-10 min easy walk to downtown shops, restaurants, cafes, pubs etc. The property is well fenced, with a large secure gate, lots of car parking space and a surveillance system. The AH also had heaters, including towel warmers. Some places we stayed were cold inside. The wifi was strong and they had a comfortable common sitting area with lots of windows, so it was bright. We stayed six nights in PN but only confirmed two in advance at the AH as we did not want to commit and regret it. We checked out other places and returned to the AH and fortunately they had room. Highly, highly recommend the AH. From Canada we were in Chile for a month bouncing around including the W, the AH was by far our favourite stay.

Friendly Staff, Great Location, Good Value
The hostess and staff were amazing in welcoming us. The first day we arrived in the early morning, of course our room wasn’t ready till 2pm check in time, but we were generously offered a hearty breakfast even before check in! They are so friendly and down to earth. While we stayed for three separate nights, we had to store luggage twice when we went on W Trek and on a hiking trip to Argentina. And the luggage was well kept. This hotel is close to everything: the waterfront, the shops, eateries and the bus station. We will definitely stay there again next time we visit this area.

Wonderful!! The owner was so kind. Great breakfast which they prepared early if needed (including eggs, coffee etc). We left our bags there when trekking in Patagonia without any issue. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Spoke English and Spanish. Really clean and comfortable rooms. About 10 minutes walking from the main city centre, very close to bus station.

A pleasant surprise!
This was the perfect place to stay one night before I flew out the next day back to Santiago after touring Torres del Paine National Park for 3 days in my rental car. Totally as advertised. First time I had ever stayed in a "hostel" that was a private room w/private bathroom. Of course it was small but that was not an issue as it was quite well designed. It was clean, modern and quiet. And the wifi-super, super fast!!! Breakfast was pretty basic but then again, I didn't really have any expectations. Price seemed a bit high (I stayed in a large hotel in a room at least twice the size w/a great breakfast right in the middle of Santiago for about $10 US/less a night) but then again, it was in line w/the other places I compared it to-sort of an "economy of scale" factor-as in there are not a lot of options in tiny Puerto Natales compared to Santiago, for example. Overall, highly recommended.

The Hostel was very clean the staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful. They helped arrange a taxi for us to the airport and held our luggage for us while we trekked.

Perfect budget-friendly spot in Puerto Natales
We loved this hostel. It has private rooms with bathrooms. the family that owns and operates it are super nice an accommodating. We left our bags there while we were in Torres del Paine for 8 days, they helped us find a rental car for a day when we wanted one and oriented us to good places to eat and buy supplies. As tends to be the case in small places like this, the walls are a little thin, so if you have noisy neighbors (as we did one night) it can be a little annoying. But I would definitely stay here again.

The staff and owner are very friendly and helpful. They even helped to prepare breakfast for us at 6am to accommodate our bus schedule. A small hotel but overall clean and in reasonable condition. Good for what you pay for

Not a five star hotel but that’s not what you are paying for. It’s a very warm hostel with a family vibe. The owners are extremely nice and offer to store our luggage for free. Great place to stay for a few days before your mountain adventures!
