Welcome to the charming little cottage called Harper Valley Cottage.

This lovely abode sits in a serene and peaceful neighborhood just a stone's throw away from downtown Nashville. A spacious porch greets you as you approach the cottage, a perfect spot to relax and breathe in the fresh air.

The backyard introduces a lush oasis ideal for playing horseshoes or cornhole with your family and friends. As you step inside, you are immediately struck by the cozy atmosphere and the comfortable memory foam mattresses that promise a restful night's sleep after a day spent exploring the captivating Brown County.
NOTE: Harper Valley is a 3 bedroom home. Guest will have access to the two bedrooms for guest counts 1-4. The full beds can be unlocked for an addition fee of $30 per person per night.

Hard Truth Hills lies just a few minutes away for adventurous souls. But if you prefer a more laid-back experience, the cottage offers an all-new outdoor drone tour that showcases its picturesque surroundings for your viewing pleasure. Rural Environment Notice
Our cabins are located in the beautiful woods and countryside of Brown County, Indiana. While we provide routine professional pest control and keep our homes clean and well-maintained, guests may occasionally see seasonal pests such as mice, flies, lady beetles (Asian beetles), or stink bugs — especially in the fall and spring.

These harmless insects are part of life in a rural setting. We do everything possible to minimize their presence and appreciate your understanding as part of the authentic Brown County experience!

PET-FRIENDLY PROPERTY: There is a $75 fee per pet. Moondance Vacation Homes proudly donates a portion to the Brown County Humane Society when you bring your pet and pay your pet fee.

All fireplaces are seasonal and available from October 1 to April 1.


ALL EVENTS, DAY GUESTS, AND PARTIES ARE PROHIBITED WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM PROPERTY MANAGEMENT.
Effective July 1, 2025, the county has raised the innkeepers' tax from 5% to 8%.

Girls weekend

Girls Trip

This property was exactly what we needed for our girls trip! It was clean, spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. There was a bad storm while we were there and we lost power for about 14 hours but we still made the best of it! Town is a very short drive away or could be walkable on a nice day! Would stay here again!

Weekend for bachelorette party

Perfect stay for our weekend get away

We stayed for my brother in laws 40th birthday.. cottage was perfect for the 6 of us! Super quaint and clean cottage and they thought of everything! Candles, cards, the fireplace was amazing and we really enjoyed the hot tub! We wish the tv would have worked out there to watch the bengals game though! We plan to come and stay again!

This was a great location and space for a family! We stayed for a long weekend with 3 teenagers! Easy access to everything and space to spread out when at the cottage! Very clean and easy communication with host. Highly recommend

Everything was better than expected. They truly thought of everything. The house was clean and beds were comfortable. We were able to walk to downtown in about 10mins and Hard Truth is just a 2 min drive. Would stay again!

Great home

Very nice space to bring our college son for a night of rest and some time to visit. My husband loved the easy drive to Brown County State Park for hiking and proximity to downtown Nashville for breakfast and a little shopping. Wish we had more time to enjoy the horse shoes and hot tub.

Great location, extremely clean and comfortable!!!

I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our experience. Cleanest house we have stayed in! Beautifully decorated house in a quiet setting with a short walk to the center of Nashville. Very roomy for a large family and the kitchen had everything and then some. Check in was very easy and the hosts responded immediately when I had a question. We will be re-booking here again soon.

Girls Trip

It was perfect for what we wanted, which was a relaxing trip for a few girlfriends. We were pleasantly surprised at how well stocked the cottage is. They really did think about every little detail, and we appreciated it. Will definitely be returning guests in the future.

The outside of the property looks a little run down but the inside is super cute! Perfect for a girls weekend. We enjoyed the covered patio hot tub and the complimentary robes they left for us to use. Near downtown Nashville, IN with easy access to all desired attractions.

Weekend getaway

Perfect location between downtown Little Nashville and Hard Truth Hills. Property was clean and had everything anyone could need. Luckily we didn’t forget anything but if we had, we wouldn’t have needed to buy it. Our kids loved all the games at the house as well.

Perfect getaway

We spent a wintery weekend at the cottage with our kids and grandkids. Everything needed was supplied including sleds for the kids. The kitchen is large and a great gathering place for family meals. Close to both shops and park trails. This is our third visit and we will be back.

Place was so cute cozy had plenty of space for our family . Very well stocked kitchen !! Hot tub was a relaxing bonus . Although close to town I recommend car not walkable roads are busy with no paved sidewalks . !! Will be back !

Quick get away

My husband and I like to take a quick trip to Nashville Indiana each summer to to shut down. This property was perfectly located. We were able to walk everywhere and only had to drive when we went someplace outside of downtown. It was clean and nicely updated. We enjoyed both the hot tub, firepit and how comfortable it is. We will definitely see if this place is available every time we go to Nashville.
