LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort - A Noble House Resort

"LaPlaya Beach Resort is a beautiful hotel with a great beachfront location and an overall pleasant atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay, but in my opinion, the property is somewhat overrated for the price. With rooms averaging around $800 per night, I expected a more updated and luxurious experience throughout the property. In particular, the bathrooms feel dated and are in need of renovation to match the price point and the level of luxury the hotel promotes. Another disappointing detail is that even the bottled water provided in the room comes with a charge of $9 per bottle. At this price point, I would expect basic amenities like bottled water to be complimentary. The location, beach, and overall setting are definitely highlights, and the hotel is nice, but for this price range, I believe certain areas of the property should be more modern and some basic amenities should be included. Overall, it was a good stay, just not quite the value I expected for the cost."

"Very clean and well run. Pool is pretty small, but the gardens surrounding it were very nice. On some evenings they have live music (also very good, not too loud). Firepits (2) Nice indoor/outdoor bar with excellent Margaritas. I was able to check in early and check out late as well. Good breakfast buffet."
