Pros: reasonably well-stocked kitchen, the views on the way to the property are stunning, unit had a washer
Cons: the most difficult part about staying in this apartment is getting to it; it must be reached from either above or below by numerous flights of steps, around 10, which is difficult to climb with your luggage; also, although our contact person mentioned that Google Maps was incorrect to guide you there, he did not provide instructions on the best way to get there (which would have been riding the Montesanto Finicular to the top, navigating to the steps, and then walking down. Instead, we had to walk up the steps, which was exhausting.) Another problem with the apartment was that the air conditioning only consisted of a mini-split on the lower level, and it was completely ineffective for the upper loft bedroom, which was consequently extremely hot (we were there in July), to the point my husband couldn’t sleep there. Another problem was that, despite the kitchen being well-stocked, all the dishes were dirty and had to be re-washed. Also, as you can see from the pictures for the apartment, the stairs to the upper loft level are difficult to climb, and it felt very hazardous getting up and down. Finally, upon leaving the apartment each day, we were instructed to turn off the electricity for the whole apartment, meaning we couldn’t leave anything perishable in the refrigerator. That defeats the purpose of having one.
