I've done many safaris throughout Kenya, but we've come back here several times. The accommodations are wonderful, but the staff are over the top amazing! They catered to us like a 6 star resort! This park has the most plentiful animals, and we had some absolutely amazing game drives!
An amazing. Stay at this place. After 2 months in Africa this is our favorite place. The people are so nice, thank you to Gilbert our driver, to Pierre the manager and Gilbert his assistant. Everything was perfect , we saw so many animals and Gilbert is so patient to find them. The tent was nice and clean, the food was really good.
Unbelievable location. Service was exceptional staff completely focused on guest needs.
Rooms were generous and luxurious.
Can’t ask for anything better
We were welcomed so very much. The staff were courteous and helpful. The facilities were excellent. The food was extra special compared to other resorts.
They all tried to do whatever was needed - it was no trouble
This location is beatiful and the food is very good and rooms are well maintained and comforta
It would be nice to see a little more variety in the foods offered at meals.
The woman at checkin was not very pleasant throughout our stay.
This was an amazing experience!!!!! Rooms were so unique and comfortable and staff truly treat you first class
My only complaint was my room was the farthest away and my water pressure in shower was very very poor.
Waking up to zebras outside our tent is priceless. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. Hot water bottles at turn down was much appreciated at the end of a long day. Safari and lion tracking were amazing. Planted a tree in the garden in hopes of being back some day.
We stayed at Sweetwaters for three nights. We had a party of 10 in our group as we were getting married there. The staff are so wonderful and accommodating. We stayed there two years ago and some of the staff remembered us from our first visit.
I would highly recommend Sweetwaters if you are traveling to Kenya.
Can't wait to go back there!!!!
Everything perfect in spite of expedia fumbling and losing our car rental reservation which had been confirmed and itineray number issued. Could not be obtained shortly before the trip. In spite of several attempts no help from expedia in helping fixing. Very poor service, very poor reliability expedia!
It was a wonderful tented camp with a water hole right in front - zebras and so many other animals right in front of you except that you were protected by an electric fence that did not however interrupt your view. Food was excellent. Service formidable. safaris wonderful.
Nice hotel with great amenities and proximity to the airport.

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Great for kids, if on the corporate side
Sterile/corporate compared to other tented camps (most of which cost much more anyway), but one of the few safari lodges where you get up close and personal with the wildlife while at the same time being appropriate for small children.
If you want Safari, Sweetwaters is the place to go
We travel a lot and this has been our best holiday to date. Staff were fabulous, friendly & Professional.
We planned our stay so I could study by day and we could game drive at the start and end of the day.
We achieved everything, including a 6 mile run outside the park, archery lessons, drawing, and game - my god SO MUCH game. We have returned with over a 1,000 photos and many hours of video.
This is a MUST DO MUST GO TO location if you want to see wildlife. Book a safari drive at the resort for more, or hire your own car and drive (its a simple straight road from Nairobi). Or just sit outside your tent and relax while the animals come to you. Remember to budget for Conservation Park Entry fees to help preserve and protect this wonderful location and its inhabitants.

Disliked: Staff & service
Great location, poor service at front desk
The hotel is in a perfect location to view wildlife and once the park gates close you can sit on the benches and the animals come to you. But don't expect great things from the tented camp (for the price they're on the low end of the price-quality ration for Kenya) and the service at the front desk was terrible. The staff at reception even lied to us about the availability of certain activities because they didn't want to bother to book us for them. However most of the other staff were lovely.
