The property owner communicated with us a week out of our stay that the hot tub was inoperable. I told him I was disappointed since that was one of our main search criteria and invited him to make it right. When we arrived at the property, it was evident that the hot tub had been out of commission for several months due to delayed fence construction. The timeline of his communication about the hot tub specifically would not have allowed us to cancel or get a refund.
Since the owner knew about the hot tub/fence issue for months, I believe he should have changed the listing to not include that amenity until it is operable again. All in all, it was a great property with the best location. Unfortunately, my rating is due to the fact that we were misled by a false listing when having a hot tub was one of our main search criteria.
