"We loved our stay at Refugio del Volcan. We’ve been travelling through Central America for c 8 weeks and this accommodation stands out as one of the best. We had the apartment unit at the top, which has the most incredible views of the lake! The accommodation was very comfortable and quiet at night for a great night sleep. The kitchen was well equipped and nice hot shower in the bathroom. It’s a fair distance from San Pedro town centre but walkable, and very easy to get a Tuktuk to and from...

"The rooms were very clean, everything is well organized. Johan and Gaby are huge huge huge help in everything you need there. They are hands on, and very attentive. Neighborhood is safe, views are amazing and the food was delicious. Dinner there is fun and easy. The breakfast with the view is so cool. I recommend 100%. Stray dogs bark randomly at night for about 10 mins and usually calm down but it could wake you up."
