My family and I were very disappointed with this property. We would like to caution anyone to make sure to read reviews on a property before they rent. Unfortunately this property did not have any reviews which should have been a red flag for us. I will start with the pros. The property was indeed only steps to the beach and did provide free linens. However, there were many things that were left to be desired. The property was not sufficiently cleaned when we entered. There were two dirty socks in different closets upon inspection. There was lots of dust and dead bugs under the beds. The property itself was very outdated. The bathrooms were old. The shutters on the windows were broken and obviously dated. The front door looked to have been kicked in and was not replaced. The air vents in the kitchen were rusted and there looked to be a mold like substance on the vent. There was a gap under the kitchen door where insects could have easily entered. The structure of the building seemed to lead inwards towards the middle. We were given no information about the amount of flooding that happens underneath the house when it rains/high tide. Had we known, we would not have left valuables under the carport.Overall, the place was too expensive for what it was. It had an air of neglect that the other homes lacked- other homes on the street appeared well cared for and personalized. This was likely owned by a private equity firm. On our next trip we will do much better research.
