Great cabin with no issues. 4wd is a must but the views and seclusion you get from being the last house on the mountain at the top is like no other. Will be back
We had a great stay at Solitude point. Extremely Private and we had snow so we were able to enjoy the mountains from the balcony at its most beautiful view. The cabin itself was extremely comfortable with Free WiFi and the gas fireplace a huge plus. I will definitely be coming back. Thanks
The name of the cabin was spot on! Just what we wanted! No noise, no visitors, no agenda! We hope to return for another vacation. Definitely needed the 4wheel drive to get there. We drove the truck but the Jeep would have been much easier in maneuvering the road.
Awesome house and views! Don’t get there in the dark! The road has switchbacks and is quite thin! Didn’t have any problems! Loved the area, close to McCaysville & Blue Ridge GA!
Great cabin and gorgeous view! Need better signs to locate property at night also need to provide a map for directions to help navigate. Got lost with directions provided. Loved the cabin, amenities and location!
The cabin was great. The location is very secluded and quiet, which is what we wanted; a peaceful place to relax.
The cabin was hot when we got there because the AC wasn't working. We called the after hours contact and he had AC repairmen come to fix the problem the next day. The AC was working within a few minutes. The host offered to refund a portion of our rental cost to compensate us for the inconvenience. That was greatly appreciated.
Overall we got just what we wanted; a peaceful, quiet time in the woods in a great cabin.
Very nice cabin, private and quiet! Beautiful views and well appointed. Plenty of space inside and out.Definitely need an all wheel or four wheel drive vehicle. Will be back next year.
We're paddlers and the cabin was perfect in every way. Very nice cabin with great location for our needs. Love that its at the top of the mountain. Beautiful.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Serenity Point cabin. It's in a gated community and feels quite safe. The cabin is located near the top of the mountain which is great as it's very quiet, but as the listing mentioned, it's a pretty tough drive up with some steep corners so an SUV, 4 wheel drive or all-wheel drive is definitely recommended. The cabin was well-furnished and the kitchen had all the things we needed when we stayed in for meals. I would definitely rent this place again in the future!
Beautiful cabin. Secluded and quiet. Just be careful you probably need an all wheel drive or four wheel drive vehicle for the final turn into the driveway.
The cabin was very nice j
ust getting to the cabin was a challenge we had to leave a day early and the cleaning crew could do a better job but overall I the property was very nice and I will be more than happy to return
Beautiful home, well appointed with everything you need. We grilled all of our dinners and enjoyed the peacefulness.
Home is aptly named…. Solitude point!
The drive is very interesting but well worth it.
DO NOT ARRIVE AFTER DARK! The driveway is steep and sharp. Other than this issue our stay at this cabin was delightful.
It was very clean and well stocked.
We were very pleased and hope to return.
Drive up should be clarified to guests. Not all vehicles can make it up to the property. Some people might be intimidated. Nice house and view. Some items not cleaned properly from last rental. Internet is almost non existent, that should be mentioned in summary of property. Since drop box is used why make the client spend all the time needed driving to the property manager to get the key out of a drop box. PUT A DROP BOX AT PROPERTY AND YOUR GUESTS DONT HAVE TO DRIVE SO FAR BECAUSE YOU ARE TOO LAZY TO MAKE IT A BETTER EXPERIENCE. Dont tell the guests how or what to clean. Isn’t that why there is a huge cleaning fee? Overall we had a great time but I am in the hospitality industry and small changes will significantly improve experience and there are some improvements needed at this location and operator.
Secluded spot at the last stop up the mountain road.
This beautiful “A-Fame” cabin is similar to others you will find in the area. It is large enough to host more than our family of 4 adults. It is about 25 to 30 minutes to either Murphy, NC or Blue Ridge, GA and nearly on the NC/TN line. The whitewater river launch in TN is only 25 minutes West. We enjoyed 5 nights here and used the home as base to travel to Chattanooga, Amicalola Falls Park and some other more primitive trails and falls towards Blairsville, GA. The home was well stocked with paper goods and other necessities like trash bags. The HVAC worked well and we were comfortable even though the outdoor temperatures were up in the nineties and very humid several days. I agree with previous posts that the very large deck area could use more than three chairs since the home is advertised for six occupants. The deck area is huge and could accommodate many more chairs. We were disappointed to find about six plates and several knives and forks that never made the dishwasher (responsibility of the last tenant) and were put away dirty right at the top of the stack (not even wiped down). Again, not the land company issue, but a spot check by cleaners may have prevented this. Hughes Net (Internet) was down all week (it’s not guaranteed, per agreement, and we understood that). Be aware that at least our Verizon Wireless data service was poor all week at the home. We could make phone calls if needed and the home has a land line if emergency or other services were needed. We often had to hold our phones a certain way to get text messages. Forget using social media high on the mountain. That for us was a welcome break! As for the other comments 1) about the key lock-box not on location and 2) the mountain driveway: the on-site lockbox, I imagine, is for cleaners. One can’t expect every home to have the code turned for each guest as many of these locations are a significant drive from the company offices that oversee these mountain properties. As for the drive up, I’d recommend finding the home before dark once you get your key and the community access code for the gate. Do this the first time, especially if you are a flat-land Florida driver like me. The road becomes quite narrow and the last few hair-pin turns on the final gravel approach are very steep, in my opinion. I would also not want to pull a trailer up that winding road as the other commenter warned. The rental is a good value. My dealings with the property manager company was A+.
Great stay. Had a great time in the local towns and a very relaxing setting

Cabin
We did not like the road up to the cabin .We did not like that it was the last cabin on the Mountain. We did not like that there was no kind of curtains or blinds on the wall to wall windows in the Living room area.
Awesome cabin, don’t think I’d have made the past .2 mile without 4WD. Wish the check in/out procedure didn’t center around an office 14 miles up the road.
What a beautiful cabin…lots of space, beautiful views, and plenty of peace and quiet! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A couple of things to note…there is no hair dryer at the property even though it is listed as an amenity. This is something we always look for and don’t usually pack. Fortunately, one of us had packed one. I’d suggest removing that item from the amenities list. Also, the ice maker in the refrigerator/freezer didn’t work. The owner had provided 2 ices trays which worked for us since there were only 2 of us and we spent quite a bit of time away from the house exploring the area. However, if there had been 6 of us we would not have had enough and it’s not convenient to just run to the grocery store for more. Definitely grab a bag on your way to the cabin if you think you might need it. It was a bit of a pain to have to return the key to the management office since it was 20 minutes in the opposite direction of our trip home. Since there is a lock box at the property, it would have been nice to be able to leave the key there and just head on our way.
