"Room was very compact, bed a good size and the air conditioning was definitely needed as no windows in room. The light box added the daylight effect but no window was unexpected. Using your phone as door key works well. Drawers under bed were needed as so little room to move once actually in. Did not get sent the email to check in during the day, so had to get that resent, staff were helpful in sorting that out."

"The hotel and staff were lovely and very welcoming. Unfortunately, the room wasn’t as clean as we expected. The mirrors had marks on them, and there were small black bits on the floor, so we had to ask for the room to be vacuumed. Apart from the cleanliness issue, the room itself was very nice and comfortable. The location was excellent, right next to Sloterdijk train station, which made getting around very convenient. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the friendly staff and great location."

"Overall I enjoyed my stay at Mercure Hotel Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station. The hotel was close to the train station which meant it was easy to get out and about. The room I stayed in was very spacious with ample room to move about. The bathroom was also larger than expected. The only minor dissatisfaction with the room was I could see the Girl with the Pearl Earring painting in the room had what looked like some liquid streak on it which you could see at an angle, as well as some liquid streaks on the door that opened up the area for where the kettle is. One thing of note to anyone looking to stay at this particular hotel. There are major roadworks going on in front of the hotel which means the access to the train station is to go around the roadworks which isn't a lot more walking but still a detour to direct access. Whilst we were there which was over the weekend and a couple of days into the week there wasn't any actual work so there was not any noise disturbance. However, I can imagine that being an issue for hotel guests when work is going on outside the hotel."
