We stayed at Waterside Inn hotel for two nights as a family, and while there were a few positives, our overall experience was concerning—especially traveling with a toddler. I want to start by acknowledging that the staff were consistently friendly and professional. Every interaction we had with them was polite and respectful, and they did make an effort to be helpful. Unfortunately, the condition of the room did not meet basic cleanliness expectations. The carpet appeared as it had not been vacuumed in a very long time, and the curtains were visibly dusty. This created an uncomfortable environment, particularly for a family with a toddler who spends time close to the floor and touching surfaces. Another major issue was the lack of privacy. There was no “Do Not Disturb” sign provided in the room, and despite us being inside, housekeeping staff repeatedly knocked and even attempted to open the door on the check-out day around 10AM. Our checkout time was 12PM. What made this especially troubling is that shortly after our stay, our baby got a fever. While it’s impossible to say with certainty what caused it, the level of dust and lack of cleanliness in the room raises real concerns about hygiene standards. For families traveling with young children, cleanliness is not optional—it’s essential. Despite the kind and professional staff, we cannot recommend this hotel for families with toddlers unless there are significant improvements in housekeeping and room maintenance.

Did get a free upgrade can’t hurt but try. Was a great place to stay

Staff was great. We had a good stay.

The lobby was very nice. It was open and airy and the staff was great. The room was tired. It had nicks on the furniture and scuffs on the walls. It would have been a fantastic room ten years ago. We paid to have a suite with a kitchen due to food allergies and that was very nice. The indoor pool was overflowing with hockey teams. We had to book a time to go but the teams did not leave. One father was throwing a football to a child in the pool! The kids were not being told not to yell. It was not enjoyable at all. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel.

First time staying at TOOR and we were very impressed. The room was clean and had a very fun and funky vibe. Valet parking efficient and reasonably priced. Will definitely book again.
