"Don't believe the good reviews.
The hotel is in need of new management.
My room was a 2-queen-bed room.
The floor of the bathroom was dirty. I could feel it when I walked on it in my bare feet. The bath towel for preventing water on the floor was dirty. I could literally see the dirty footprints of the previous user.
The wall had repairs on every wall and was just repaired with joint compound and not painted.
The curtains were falling down, and from the outside of the building, when you looked closer, you could see that all the rooms had the curtains falling and deteriorating.
The bathtub had somebody else's hair in the drain.
Do not stay here. This owner should sell and allow someone else to come in and refurbish the place. Although it may already be too far gone.
My companion had a room with a king-size bed, and their room was just as bad, with patches on the walls. No shampoo. Curtains falling down."
Big Bear Lodge Retreat where friends & families gather and meet!
8/10 Good
"Very nice lodging. At the echo, the other reviewers that this is a great place. I do have a couple complaints though. First there is a pumphouse from the golf course that is very close by and very very loud. All hours of the day and night it seems. Second step at the front porch is extremely high. They should redo their front steps to make them to code. The place was very well stocked, except for two items that I wish they would add Kleenex and napkins. We had to buy our own. Back to the noise issue from the golf course. I don’t know if there’s anything they can do with either the Township or the golf course to get that resolved, but it is not very enjoyable sitting outside with that kind of noise going on. They have such a great outdoor set up too."
Beautiful private home located in Lewiston Michigan.
10/10 Excellent
"The house was lovely. The kitchen was well equipped. Derek was very pet friendly. The resident backyard chickens even provided us with a basket of fresh eggs. There are neighbors, but the place felt very private. It was conveniently located to Lewiston and all the nearby lakes we wanted to kayak and explore."
Cottage right on the AuSable River in charming Mio
10/10 Excellent
"The property is very nice, especially for the price. The location was ideal for us as well. The owners have done a great job with the property and communicated with me expeditiously. The beds were very comfortable. The views were awesome. We would definitely visit again."
