Come visit us at Hickory Hideaway nestled in the mountains of Southern West Virginia! Conveniently located within 15 minutes of many of the WV adventures. New River Gorge National Park, Summersville Lake, Hawks Nest & Babcock State Parks, Carnifex Ferry Battlefield and Winterplace Ski Resort. Offering whitewater rafting, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, boating, skiing, fishing, hunting and more! If you are looking for adventure or a relaxing stay, we have it all! We are located in Mount Lookout, WV. The property is located 2 miles off of US Route 19, less than an hour from I-79, I-64 and I-77. Cabin sleeps up to 8. Rates are based on 4 guests, there is an additional guest fee per night for bookings with over 4 guests that you will see when checking out. The cabin is secluded on 2 acres on Meadow River Farms, with nice yard and forest cover. Spacious back porch with 6 person spa and sitting area. Master bedroom has a king size bed, 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed and 3rd bedroom has 2 double beds. Master bath has walk in tile shower, 2nd bathroom has tub/shower combo unit. Great room with electric fireplace and picnic table dining area. Spacious kitchen with island for social activities. Washer and dryer and other accommodations. We are pet friendly however we must be notified and approve the pet as you are booking your stay. There is a Dollar General conveniently located within 2 miles. Check out is at 11:00 am unless we have approved a late check out. Checking out late will without prior approval will result in a double cleaning fee. Be sure to check out our discount for week long stays!

I had a perfect stay at Hickory Hideaway! Everything was exactly as described or better, the decor is wonderful, and the place was spotless when I arrived. I particularly appreciated the immaculately maintained hot tub, especially after a day adventuring in the gorge. The grill and firepit are also fantastic. Pro tip: Be sure to checkout The Market and Drinkery at Rt. 19, great lo al grub!

My sister and I and our spouses had a wonderful fall birthday weekend here. We especially enjoyed home cooked meals together and relaxing time in the hot tub. The house was clean, roomy, and warm, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and we enjoyed seeing many deer wandering around the property. It was close to Fayetteville, and we really enjoyed Bridge Day and rafting on the Gauley. A great location for a relaxing time with family and friends, and to enjoy the nearby National Park. Would absolutely stay here again.

Fantastic Cabin in Perfect Location.

This is our fifth time staying at this cabin. It is perfect in every way for us as we come into town to visit family. It has everything you need and located centrally to Summerville and the lake. We love it and recommend it often.

We had a great time at this cabin. The three bedrooms were perfect for our group. It was close to everything that we wanted to do (Summersville Lake, New River Gorge, Fayetteville) yet secluded. The boys really enjoyed roasting marshmallows and watching the steady parade of deer go by through the woods.
