"What a dream!!! I came here for a birthday getaway and I feel like my soul had a reset being in nature! Love the outdoor hot tub/pool, the spa was wonderful, and food was absolutely delicious!!!"

"Liked the breakfast in the am, view was nice from lookout and lounge. Room was small and a little crowded for two people, and had a few bugs as well in room. Otherwise bed was comfortable and warm. Staff was very nice and fixed my hair dryer for me!"

"We were greeted warmly when we arrived. After our adventures on the first day, we came back to a beautifully made bed, fresh towels and clean dishes. Other than our personal items, it looked like it did when we arrived the day before. That was a perk we hadn't planned on, but we loved it! The decor was lovely and the views of the river were gorgeous. We would stay here again!"

"This is a grand dame of the old days. It has known better days but the people who manage it now are doing a decent job. The place could and deserves a refurbishment. The grounds are beautiful and are well maintained, the main building is a jewel in need of polish. Noise transmission between rooms is an issue. I could hear other people's conversations in neighboring roooms. The decor is regrettably poor and tired."
