Luxurious Spanish Renaissance in Ransom Canyon 4/3
10/10 Excellent
"The inside of the home was clean and inviting. The essential were all there. Some of the extras (bags/foil) were not, but it was ok we were still able to cook and enjoy the home to the fullest. I did get stung by a wasp within the first 15 minutes of arriving, so after that we did not spend as much time outside as we were planning but the home was so spacious we did not miss out. "
"There were multiple issues with the house: entrance code did not work & we had to call our contact at 10 pm when we arrived, & it was never updated during our stay. The stationary entrance door does not lock properly. Many electrical outlets in the home were not functional, the water control valve in the downstairs shower would not work so we could not use that shower. The AC air filter was filthy and oven cleaner had been sprayed in the oven but never wiped out & cleaned. Overall, this property needs a deep cleaning! While plates, utensils & coffee mugs were plentiful, there were only nasty plastic bowls for cereal. Not many drinking glasses either. The photos on the site were quite misleading. The entrance fee for the gate is NOT CLEARLY stated in the details - it is a per person DAILY entrance fee & for a 5 day stay this was a substantial additional cost. I rented this property for our stay during our daughter's wedding and the hassle that we had trying to work this out was very frustrating. Even the staff at the gate office said that this property has the most complaints re: clear info about the gate fees. Our contact with Evolve tried to help out but messages left for her manager were NEVER returned. Spending what we did to stay for 4 nights, then finding out about the daily gate was absolutely RIDICULOUS. We did like the setting by the lake but this property needs much TLC! And Evolve needs to respond to messages from people that rent properties that they manage. "
