The Alentejo is a region with a well-defined culture. But each village also has its own peculiar stories, gastronomic traditions, and customs that distinguish it from the others.
The great Alqueva lake has given a surprising atmosphere to this region. Where once there were fields, with olive trees, cork oaks and holm oaks, today we see water and renewed life, with excellent conditions for outdoor activities, always so invigorating. In the heart of the Alentejo, the marvellous sky of Alqueva looks like dark velvet covered by an immense blanket of stars. To refresh yourself, there's the incredible beach. Everything is very well cleaned, there's a bar with a very pleasant terrace with great taste in the decoration, for a refreshing drink and a snack at any time.
