Mountain Village 1890 Tours and Activities

The room was dirty the was no clock and I had to replace my key twice because mine quit working

As always, the grounds are beautiful especially with the beautiful view of the White River! The guy attendant was very nice, checking in w us when we would pass by. My room was so nice with the screened in porch facing the water! What a beautiful was to have morning coffee!! So convenient and able to meet our needs!!!!

Booking through Expedia was great. I walked in told the lady at the desk my name I signed in and she handed me my key. Very simple! Upon entering our room, we noticed a smell. It smelled like cleaning product and not a good one. One that lingers on your tongue. Smelled like it was covering the smell of moisture. The bathroom could’ve been cleaned better?? Not sure it was from the start. The baseboard beside the sink was filthy the floors felt a little sticky while walking barefoot. The microwave and the mini fridge worked and they were clean which was great because we used them. We went to the desk around 730 to get ice and it was already locked up and closed for the night said it closed at 8. Same thing the next night. I love that it was right on the white river! We stayed on the bottom level and we couldn’t see the water very well because of the brush that had grown up. It also would’ve been nice to be able to walk down to the water and swim while we were there. Or just sit and relax by the water. There is no safe way down by trail. At checkout no greeting from the front desk lady. No how was your stay? Nothing. I handed in my key, she said “checking out?”I said “yes” I asked if she needed my name she said “no” I said “that was easy” no have a good day come back and see us. Very unfriendly. This saddens me because this property has so much potential for family friendly outdoor fun. If y’all want some ideas I’d be more than happy to help! Not trying to bash, just help
