"They gave us trouble with the room we reserved originally because they were having windows replaced and because we booked thru Expedia they stated they didn’t have a phone number to call us to let us know the room needed changed. They also didn’t tell us about the room change until I had to come back up and inform them we received the incorrect room. It took 3 room changes to get the correct room we reserved. Thankfully we tried to check in early at 2:30 because by the time it was figured out it was 3:15 before we got in the room. TV guide is terrible through the spectrum provider. There was more sports and Spanish channels than anything else. Our hotel room door didn’t want to fully close unless you put effort into it and forced it closed. The back door to get into the hotel was unlocked the whole time we were there."

"Very nice and quiet property. The cabin is very well taken care of. Spent a weekend at the cabin and it was the perfect spot for a little getaway, just make sure to bring plenty of bug spray!"

"We loved our overnight stay at The Chanticleer. We had book the reservation for the wrong day and the owner(?) was very accommodating in helping us resolve 5he issue. The Inn itself was such a quaint peaceful throwback - reminding us of childhood trips long ago. Beautiful lake views from our room and a spot on dinner recommendation rounded out a perfect evening stop on our way to UP for a little getaway. Highly recommend The Chanticleer for families couples or anyone just wanting to unwind and commune…."

"We had a great stay at this cabin. The place was very clean and well kept, and the check-in and check-out instructions were clear and easy to follow. We really appreciated the extra coffee they had available — that was a nice touch. The location is perfect for snowmobiling since it’s right on the trail, and it was also very easy to find. Overall, a great spot and we’d definitely stay here again."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Dawson's Den gave us the cozy, comfy retreat in the Northwoods we were in need of. The cabin was impeccably clean and had a beautiful cedar aroma immediately upon walking in. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals throughout our stay! The bedrooms were equally as comfy and inviting for a warm winter-night's rest. The loft provided a quaint sitting area perfect for some chill conversations. The hot tub provided us a perfect way to end the day after being on the slopes! We spent a night around a fire while sitting on a bench of snow. Dawson's Den did not disappoint one bit!"
