BaseCamp74 is a 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home perched above the greater Palm Springs area.

We are seasoned short term rental hosts and invite you to make this house your home away from home, filling your days with relaxation and exploration. Base Camp 74 offers a distinctive experience, embracing the essence of high desert living and promising cherished memories.

The Property:
Walking through the front door puts you on the main level of the home, with the living room, dining room, kitchen, half bath and primary suite with full bathroom. Interior stairs lead down to the lower level of the main house, with two bedrooms and a full bathroom. The casita (4th bedroom) is attached to the house but has a private, exterior entrance.

The Living Room:
- Floor-to-ceiling windows provide a panoramic view of the valley
- Multiple seating areas to watch tv or take in the views
- Fireplace
- Books and games

The Kitchen:
- Fully equipped to prepare and serve your favorite meals
- Refrigerator, gas stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher
- Cookware, glassware, dinnerware and utensils
- Keurig coffee maker with a selection of k-cup pods, creamer and sugar
- Welcome snacks and beverages

The Dining Area:
- Dining table with seating for 8-10 guests

The Primary Suite:
- King sized bed with comfortable memory foam mattress and a selection of sleeping pillows
- Walk-in closet has a full size crib and changing table
- En-suite bathroom with vanity, toilet and a large, step-in shower
- All bathrooms are equipped with towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper and hair dryer

The Guest Bedrooms
- Three additional guest bedrooms, each with a memory foam mattress and a selection of sleeping pillows
- Bedroom 2 has a king size bed
- Bedroom 3 has a twin daybed plus a desk (please note that this bedroom is accessed through Bedroom 2)
- Bedroom 4 is a private casita with a king bed plus a twin daybed. See "casita" section below
- All beds are made up with soft, quality linens
- All bedrooms have luggage stands and hanging space

The Guest Bathrooms:
- En-suite bathroom in the Primary suite with a shower
- Half bathroom off of the kitchen with a sink and toilet
- Full bathroom downstairs with a shower
- Full bathroom in the casita with a shower
- Both bathrooms are equipped with towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper and hair dryer

The Casita:
- Can sleep up to 3 guests, with a king bed plus a daybed (twin size)
- Smart tv with access to live tv streaming and other apps
- Dry kitchenette with mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker
- Full bathroom with vanity, toilet and shower

The Outdoor Space:
- Hot tub with an unforgettable view of the Coachella Valley
- Pool towels
- Patio with Adirondack chairs
- Patio with dining tables

Other Amenities:
- 77 acres of private land
- Full-size washing machine and dryer with complimentary-use laundry detergent and fabric softener (located in the garage)
- High-speed (300 mbps fiber) internet and excellent WiFi coverage in the house for streaming and high quality video meeting capability
- Garage parking for 1 car

Guests will have access to the entire home, casita and garage. Small portions of the house (a few cabinets) will remain locked for storage.

We will be available at any time via platform messaging or by phone call/text in case of emergency.

BaseCamp74 is a private 77 acre parcel of land with the house being the only structure on the 77 acres. The nearest neighbors are more than a 1/2 mile away and the area is very sparsely populated. Access to the house is through 2 private gates so guests will experience total privacy.

Having your own vehicle is recommended. Taxi and Rideshare options are limited. Access to the house from CA state highway 74 is on an unpaved road. No special vehicle is needed except for the 2-3 times per year it may snow where a 4wd would be recommended. Snow will melt within a few hours in most cases and then normal vehicles should have no problem with access.

While the interior of the house has been designed and set up with all of the comforts of home, this is a WILDERNESS property. The natural surrounding of the house is both beautiful and unpredictable. While most days are calm, high winds can pick up unexpectedly.

The acreage is also home to a wide range of wildlife - within 100 feet of the house we have seen deer, bighorn sheep, bobcats, coyotes, snakes, lizards, mice, scorpions and spiders as big as your hand.

This is not your typical neighborhood Airbnb, but an incredible house that sits on untouched, sometimes rugged, high desert land. If that's not your cup of tea, we won't be offended if you look elsewhere. :)
