Great stay while our fam was at Cooperstown Dreams Park
We enjoyed staying at Raymond's place as it was in a beautiful part of the country (lots of turns and winding roads from Cooperstown dreams park). The accommodations were perfect (beds, linens, kitchen supplies & laundry) and we enjoyed putting our feet up after several long days at the ballpark.
We stayed here during our son's Cooperstown baseball tournament. Perfect for what we needed. Property was very clean and communication with the owner Ray was great. It was a great break from the hustle and bustle of the tournament and we would definitely stay there again if the opportunity presented itself.
It was our first time for us to visit Cooperstown and the cottage was perfect for our family 0f 5 to stay and enjoy the space. The owner was very nice and was available when needed . Thank you so much for allowing my family to stay.
This place was perfect for our stay while our son played in Cooperstown. It was clean and spacious. If we had a question or concern the owner responded in a timely manner.
This property at Able Acres perfectly suited all of our needs. Everything had been freshly cleaned and all amenities were neat and in good working order. Our family only spent a few days for a baseball tournament, but would have been comfortable here indefinitely. We were about 15-20 mins from All Star Village-pleasant drive Thank you, Raymond, for such a well maintained property, and comfortable stay.
The barn-turned home was awesome. Aside from the beautiful property where the home is located, the owner is very responsive to inquiries and the home is very comfortable with everything a family needs provided. My wife and I stayed there with two preteen granddaughters who enjoyed running around the property and playing with sporting equipment provided by the owner. The short 25 minute drive to Cooperstown Dreams Field provided scenic wonders from start to finish. This property is an excellent value and I highly recommend it.
We stayed at this property during my son’s Dreams Park Tournament and it was perfect. It is about a 22 minute ride to the ball field but seemed shorter everyday day we drove there. The house was clean and very spacious. It had all the amenities that we needed and also a few extras. The host Ray was easy to deal with and he responded right away when we contacted him. I would definitely recommend this property to any family looking for housing in that area.
Great stay while son played at Cooperstown Baseball World
We had a great stay at the Hideaway House while our son played in the Cooperstown Baseball World. It was about 20 minutes from SUNY Oneonta dorms/fields. The property is amazing with many acres of manicured lawn for the kids to play, and some woods to explore. We all loved it. Raymond was a gracious host and a great communicator. 5 stars.
Beautiful property. The cabin was comfortable and well kept. Every amenity was thought of and the actual land it was on was very pretty. While the distance to the playing fields was short, the winding roads and mountains could be challenging. The lack of markings on the roads(lines in the center and sides of the roads)as well as no lights made it very tough driving in the rain and fog at night. Add to that the locals driving at higher speeds because of their familiarity and it could get nerve wracking. Still overall, we had a fantastic stay and if we are ever that way again, we would definitely stay at Abel's Acres again!
The drive out of town is scenic and beautiful. It is a little ways out, but absolutely worth it. We were in the barn house which was incredible. Well appointed, the master bed was great, super clean and cared for. The kids loved their set up in the guest room, we moved the beds together to make a "queen" for them.
The kitchen has every dish and pot you need to cook. Multiple grocery stores in town to buy your food.
There is foosball, darts, basketball and cornhole outside. The property is what you wished you had bought. So much room, so much land. Ray has a gem here and we were thankful to have it for a week.
House was the cleanest house we have ever stayed in. It was spotless! Much nicer than pictures represent. Appliances and bedding were high quality. Bed/bedding were amazingly comfortable. So many DVDs and games available for x-box. The kitchen was better stocked than my own at home. Every detail thought of it seemed.
We stayed here while my son played at cooperstown dreams park. The house had comfort for us after long days at the ballfield - all the amenities of home. Plus plenty of activities for the younger sibling.
Location was pretty much 1/2 way between Cooperstown and Oneonta (where cooperstown all star village is). 25 minutes from cooperstown dreams park, which seemed pretty standard for the area. We didn’t get to enjoy it as much as we would have liked because of the tournament schedule but the house literally lacked nothing! Stay here. You won’t regret it!
Took my family out to the Cooperstown Baseball tournament and stayed at Raymond’s place and it was wonderful. We had four boys with us and they all loved the place! Super clean and fun!
Enjoyed this stay which was about 20 minutes from Dreams Park. A very nice place to unplug from the world. Quiet setting of about 5acres of open space and maple trees. Even though there was tv, games and wi-fi phone, we took time to enjoy family and rest. I would highly recommend this place as Raymond was a gracious host.
Amazing place to stay if playing in Cooperstown! This is our second year in a row. Very roomy and very comfortable. Kids will keep busy inside and out too! See you in 2 years with the next player coming up in the ranks!
It was nice and clean, everything functioned properly. We were playing at the dreams park, and did find that the commute, especially on foggy nights, was a bit challenging.
Everything was as advertised. Communication was great and prompt. House had plenty of space and everything was new and up to date. Great place for a family with kids. Would definitely stay again.
