"The cottage was full of country charm, clean and everything we needed. Perfect base to get out and explore the area and so cosy and comfortable to stay in and relax.The kids had plenty of room to run around and games and activities provided were great. The carrots to feed Harold the pony was a highlight for the kids and adults.Sean was an exceptional host who made checking in super easy and ensured we were comfortable and had plenty of firewood.Highly recommend and can’t wait for our next visit."

I had a concerning experience during our stay. The room doors shut very quickly and forcefully, which can be dangerous—especially for children. Unfortunately, my daughter’s finger got stuck in the door. Thankfully, she wasn’t injured very badly, but it was a very scary moment for us. I strongly recommend the hotel consider installing soft-closing mechanisms or safety features to prevent such incidents in the future. This would make the environment much safer for families with young children.
Otherwise, we had a very good experience overall and enjoyed our stay."
