Very quaint town and neighborhood. Great for fall getaway to Lancaster. House is comfortable and centrally located. We enjoyed the Halloween parade on Friday night in the town.
We had a great time visiting Hershey Park, Sight & Sound Theater and Amish country. The house was a very convenient location from all attractions and a great place for us to relax and enjoy family time.
The place was very charming. I love the CLUE themed rooms! Very close to Lancaster and Hershey. We had the opportunity to meet my daughter at school and make some Christmas memories in Lancaster and Hershey seemed like it was 25 minutes from most places, great location. There was a Christmas celebration in Mount Joy in which we were welcomed with upon arrival.
House was perfect for 3 adult couples & was well stocked with all you could need for a weekend stay. Location was better than expected - short drive to lovely winery, alpaca farm (run by the nicest family) & the Railroad House restaurant. Cute town to walk through & more good food at Bube’s only a short walk from the house. Off street parking for 2 vehicles and additional parking in front of house. Would stay again for sure.
We came to Mount Joy for a volleyball tournament at Spooky Nook, which is less than 10 minutes away. Loved the location in the center of Mount Joy - great little town, lots of restaurants close by. The house is the perfect mix of original details and modern upgrades. Everything we needed for a weekend getaway!
Quaint town near wedding venue that we attended in Elizabethtown. House was 15 mins away and provided a nice stay for our purposes. Old house was remodeled to provide the modern amenities in kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities also included was free subscriptions to Hulu, Netflix, etc.
We were in town for the weekend and The Conservatory worked great for our family. The house was clean and as described. We loved the nod to the game Clue. Definitely a cute feature.
The Conservatory was just perfect for our holiday visit with family and friends. Plenty of space, super comfortable, with everything we needed!! The decor is so fun and eclectic. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful- we enjoyed walks to town and around the neighborhood. Easy access to York and Lancaster and Roots Auction. The living space and bedrooms are big and open; lovely wood floors and woodwork give the home a cozy feel. We hope to stay here again on our next visit!!
Enjoyed the neighborhood and the house. Everything was in good share and clean. Only issue we had was second floor shower had no pressure at all. Other then that little issue, we would rent again.
Generally a great value. Very quiet beautiful neighborhood & great house. The water pressure in the showers could be improved, seems to be great pressure in the house but hard to get wet in the shower. Also, found some hair in the shower. Oven needs to be cleaned - I cooked dinner and smoked up the entire house because the oven had not been cleaned. Otherwise awesome value and great nights' sleep!
This is a beautifully restored historic home and it is exactly as pictured. In fact, this is the nicest rental we have stayed at thus far and we would definitely book again with the owner. We found everything well stocked. I used the washer and dryer once and the appliances were huge and awesome.
My family of 6 slept comfortably in the bedrooms and we appreciated the decorating "nods" to the Clue boardgame throughout the home. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. It's located about 25 minutes from Hershey Park.
This was our first vrbo experience. Justin and Krista made it very easy with clear instructions and prompt response. We loved the decor. Front and back steps are new as is the banister going upstairs. Bedrooms and bathrooms are lovely and spacious. Kitchen is large and updated…I love the sink and hardware. We had fun looking for Clue items…didn’t find the rope though. Neighborhood is quiet and great for a stroll. We loved the porch swing. Great experience!
Property was as listed No complaints. Only issue was not much water pressure in either shower could be from water restrictor in shower head. Good pressure at sinks. Just made it harder to get shampoo out of thick curly hair. Otherwise it is a very nice property centrally located between Hershey and the Amish communities
We were actually sad to leave this property! The house is amazing and completely welcoming and comfortable. The extra effort put in to make our stay easy were not overlooked! The hosts provided a very detailed explanation for check in - where to park- using the door keypad etc. The kitchen was fully stocked, the showers had shampoo/conditioner and bodywash in the event you forgot what you needed! The location is great! We had gone for the weekend for a concert at Hershey, visit with family friends in York, PA and wanted to do some Amish touring and we were 30 min from all destinations. Also there is a train station within a 5 minute walk! The main street makes anyone just want to walk around without much effort! High recommend to anyone looking to stay in this area.
We stayed here while doing some business planning meetings. The location was great - we could walk around the neighborhood with our dog to stretch our legs, or walk to local restaurants and coffee shops to get a bite to eat. Parks, hiking, and other towns with restaurants also very close.
The house is very cute - the "Clue" theming is fun and the decorations very nice as well. Kitchen was well equipped for when we cooked breakfast and lunch.
The one drawback (and loss of a star) was the shower situation - the water flow seemed like just a trickle with no pressure. Took forever to take a shower and still felt like we didn't get soap rinsed off when we were done. Pressure in the bathroom sink was OK so it must be an issue with the showerhead.
We were 4 adults, 2 children, and one dog staying in this lovely house in Mount Joy. It was spacious and as described on the website. The area was quaint and quiet, and the neighbors were friendly. We enjoyed the swing on the front porch, the updated kitchen, and the Clue-themed décor (although we could not find the pipe!).
We visited Hershey Park and Dutch Wonderland, which were both close by (approx 30 min).
The hosts responded quickly to our inquiries, and the house was overall clean. My only complaint would be the water pressure in the upstairs primary bathroom, but that would not stop us from staying there again in the future. Also, providing a list of the usernames and passwords for the TV apps (Hulu, Netflix, etc) would be helpful to avoid bothering the host for this information.
My 7 year old son says: “Thank you for letting us stay at your place!” 😊
We had to travel by van from TN to PA for a tournament at Spooky Nook Sports Complex (10 minutes away). The house was PERFECT! There was private parking in the back and a yard for the 10 year old, 20 lb pup to run in. When we got in the home it was beautiful! It is a blend of historic meets modern! The living room seated 5 adults comfortably and the dining room table hosted our pizza and wings, followed by several hands of cards.
The stairs, although still a work in progress, led us upstairs to 3 private rooms. Two of the rooms had a full bath in the hall. The master had a claw foot tub that was to die for! One room had a sound machine and each of them had an additional fan for those artic sleepers. Now, back to the masters room. The bed was so large and so comfy that we lost the dog in it at one point.
This house was absolutely worth it! The town is small and the locals are friendly. It was very close to Spooky Nook as well as Hersey and Lancaster. The communication with the property owners were quick and professional, I highly recommend this home!
We had a great stay at this fun home in Mount Joy! The hosts were easy to communicate with and we were impressed with all the thoughtful details put into the home. Great location and friendly neighbors. Thanks for a great stay!
