"This is a great historic hotel, just keep that in mind during your stay. Much of the rooms doorframes and other hardware is kept as genuine as possible, sometimes to minor detriment. A prime example is that the main door to our room had a gap in it through which two people could easily see each other. It's not great, but that's how the original doorway was put in. We absolutely loved our stay and the staff were amazing! All of the foibles added to the charm of staying at such a historic location for us."

"A truly beautiful home. The location is very hard to beat. It feels remote, and offers fantastic views of the mountains, a small stream running through the property behind the house, and several moose that made regular morning and evening appearances. The amenities in the house were as advertised - we particularly liked the whole house sound system, the pool table, the automatic fireplaces, and the hot tub. The hosts were very accessible and responsive. We highly recommend visiting the Mangy Moose!"
