"Great stay at the Red Dog Cabin! The cabin was very welcoming with clear instructions and lots of information about activities in the area. The wifi was fast and connecting was easy. The cabin is a short 5-minute drive to an easy hiking trail with spectacular views. The property was fun for our two dogs to explore, and we appreciated the available dog beds and bowls. The weather was rainy for the first part of the weekend, so we spent time in the basement/garage playing foosball, darts and the cornhole set. There are lots of little welcoming touches through the cabin and the decor is lovely. We would definitely stay again when returning to Fairplay!"

"Booked the Mangy Moose for our wedding. The hosts were both available whenever we had questions and ready to answer all. We have seen the residential moose Earl everyday leading to and on the day of the wedding. Check in and out instructions were simple and straight forward. It was an amazing home, property, stay and hosts! Will hope to visit again soon. "

"Most places try and take it all the way up to 10/10. This goes to 11. The cabin is a pleasantly surprising mix of roomy, but very comfy. Even with a large group we had more than enough room, and yet it still had that cozy cabin vibe. The view is stunning. Standing on the balcony wearing my favorite hoodie, with my morning cup of Joe in the crisp autumn air, smelling the piney air and seeing the snow dusted mountain tops right across the valley… this is so peak, I had a hard time coming back from this stay. I have asthma and very sensitive lungs/sinuses to smells and scents among other things, and had a perfect weekend - no issues. It’s a clean place. No overpowering smells. Just very well-kept. The Starlink Wi-Fi worked flawlessly - when I had to connect over the weekend, it accomplished everything I needed and more. The hosts actually take care. They treat people staying at their cabin like actual guests. They reached out before, during and after to make sure we were well taken care of. I don’t know these folks, but the way they treated us was the way I would treat my best friends’ family if they were staying at our cabin. My only hesitation leaving such a glowing review is that it may increase demand and make it harder for us to compete for a spot on subsequent visits. This place is incredible."

"We absolutely loved the property and will definitely stay here again. We stayed for a whole week! My husband worked from the dining room and the deck—the WiFi was excellent. Walking with my dogs in the neighborhood was magical with stunning views at every turn. There is so little traffic, the roads are like really wide hiking trails. There are also two trailheads in the neighborhood, both easy hikes leading to stunning vistas. The yard isn’t fenced, so I just took the dogs out on leashes. The property manager responded to my questions within minutes, and the kitchen was well stocked with quality new pots and pans. If you’re looking for quiet natural beauty, this is an ideal place for you. "

The sunrise view over the mountains as the sky lit up was truly unforgettable.The cabin was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing escape. We especially loved the quiet mornings with coffee on the deck and evenings watching the colors of the sky change.Just a heads-up: the road up to the cabin is a bit bumpy, so take it slow — but it’s 100% worth it once you arrive. We even spotted deer and a fox one day on the road. The peace, privacy, and views are unbeatable.Cate was a responsive host and even gave a hiking suggestion that we needed up doing and it was stunning views of surrounding 14ers. If you’re looking for a quiet retreat surrounded by nature, this is the place. We would not hesitate to book here again. Note there is not a Keurig but there is a drip coffee maker. Also the water pressure was amazing!"
