Hey Milus. Hope you all are doing well! Thank you for your comments. I appreciate this as this makes us better. I am very sorry you had “booked” the incorrect unit. I didn’t put you in this level this is what you had reserved unfortunately. The location (upper/lower) is clearly stated in the description. When you contacted me I checked immediately and the lower level was occupied and or had a guest checking in it, so it would have been unavailable unfortunately. I tried to reach out to other Hosts in the area as well to help you and did find a home with only a couple stairs. I reached out to let you know and you responded “at this point we would rather stay where we are”. The stairwell light and hallway lights have all been repaired and are good to go at this point. We had tried to replace the bulb but had a bad switch so we had to get an electrician to repair. This has all been resolved and all lights are working! The home is very clean and neatly painted. I am not sure as to what you are referring. But thank you. We will be reviewing. There is a small hole to the far right hand side of the porch at the top on the flat surface a couple inches wide. This is a 100 year old home. This is also scheduled to be repaired, but as you can imagine contractors are quite busy and booked up. This however doesn’t pose a safety risk at all as it is to the far right hand side next to the wall and is only a few inches wide. Besides this everything is in great condition. Being on the upper level and booking the incorrect level was the only issue you had messaged me about during your stay. I wasn’t aware of any other issues you are noting. We really do receive great reviews and have a 4.78 star review level over 39 reviews currently. I feel as though if you had booked the correct level for your stay it would have been much more enjoyable for you. So I invite you back when you can at a discounted rate to stay in our lower level unit. Please next time contact me so I may help you with your booking as I know this can be confusing sometimes. Thank you Harold for your comments! This kind of comments can only make us better! The unit was just opened up in April of this year and we purchased as much as our budget would allow at this time. We purchased all brand new items for the entire unit. Everything is brand new! New King and Queen beds, all new sets of pillows, linens, comforters and bedding sets. New kitchen table from Ashley’s furniture with 6 chairs. New queen sleeper sofa, Samsung TV, New foot stools, new coffee table Etc…… We do plan on getting additional furniture in the future. Possibly as an option you could put your suitcase on the bed to grab what ever clothes you may need. Then possibly a chair may work as well. But thank you again for your comments. I will be getting suitcase racks for suitcases. The nail on the back of the banister will be taken care of as I was unaware of this! Thanks! The bathroom shower handle was stripped by the previous tenant that had checked out the day you checked in. I wasn’t aware of this either until you had made me aware when we spoke before you left. My cleaning crew was actually the person has told me you had complained of the hot shower. I fixed this immediately and this has been repaired. The lights in the stairwell as you know I messaged you and came over to repair immediately as this was a concern! However it was not a simple light bulb that needed replacing. A electrician has been scheduled to come and do the repairs going forward. This is an old house! A cell phone light would possibly have worked for you if need be in a pinch until a repair can be made! For safety purposes. As we purchased the unit in December of 2022 it is a work in progress. The back porch area not normally used will be cleaned, painted and set up in the near future. However if you read your description the back yard area is designated for upstairs guests and has 4 very nice plastic chairs that you also have access to and a fire pit for your next visit!! Again thank you for your stay and I wanted to address your concerns. ******UPDATE******* Doors are being painted today! Lights in stairwell and hallway hav been repaired. This location is right beside the amphitheater!! They have great music and shows on the summer and fall where you can sit on the hill and have a nice picnic or glass of wine! Glad you enjoyed your stay and the location. Hope to see you all back soon.

Thank you for your review! This home is great and in the best location possible! Nice quiet neighborhood close to everything on Main! On the listing it is designated as whole house meaning each unit (up stairs and down stairs) come fully equipped with living room area, king bedroom, queen bedroom, full bath, full dining area, full kitchen with all amenities and stainless steel appliances. Private parking and entrances for all. Each at 1400 sq ft. Meaning There are “no shared” areas of the home so you will have access to the entire home/unit. We will be updating our listing for a better understanding of the circumstances for future guests if possible. Thank you again! Thank you for your comments and your stay with Hawk Cottage! This home is great and in the BEST location! The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful. Perfect start to the day to have a cup of coffee on the from porch early in the morning! On the rocking chairs, the past owner took those when he left unfortunately but this is a good idea to add a couple of good ole rockers to the front porch! I did replace it with big comfortable porch furniture but can see your point! The entry way light is in the process of being fixed and we will be adding a microwave to our kitchen as soon as possible! On the Roku TV I am not sure what is going on there. And I am so sorry for the inconvenience. This is the first time I have heard this. Possibly the internet was being interrupted? We will be looking into this for future guests asap. Thank you for letting us know! Next time please message me and I can make sure you get the first level! We have a long term stay that is interning with a local physical therapy company.
