The room was nice, but not nice enough to justify the price. I’ve stayed at Marriott properties that were nicer, but much cheaper. I really wanted to try this property because I heard so much about the Salamander, but I was disappointed. I was expecting bells and whistles for the price. Our room only had 1 bottle of water and no one ever answered the phone at the front desk when I tried to call to request another. The valet parking is RIDICULOUS! $86 per night is highway robbery and there is no option for self parking. I stayed 1 night and was charged for 2 days of parking. I’m glad that I looked at my bill. I’m still waiting for my credit card to be refunded. I doubt that I’ll stay here again when planning another stay in DC.

Staff at the desk was very courteous. Our room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The Breakfast buffet was nice and tidy and the lady in charge was friendly and keeping everything tidy and well stocked at a very busy time.
