This hotel has very old and stinky carpets and furniture, I had to change rooms and the second one was little better but still in bad conditions, too expensive for poor quality. Lots of construction workers, hallways smell good, like everyone is eating or cooking in their rooms. Bad, bad… I had stayed her a few years back and it was neat and clean, furniture was ok but this place needs a deep makeover.

It is right off the freeway with easy access. Eating and gas is nearby. Very clean in the lobby area. The room was clean. The security to get in and out is very good!

I asked to be in a room away from elevators because I am very sensitive to the noise, which I explained to the front desk. While they did give me a room away from the elevators, she put me in a room next to the gym. There were lots of people coming in and out at all times and slamming doors, and the weights slammed on the floor constantly. Not the best customer service in my opinion

I liked the spaciousness of the room, there was plenty of parking spaces around the property. The breakfast didn’t have that much variety. A lot of young boys (9-12 year olds) were staying at the hotel during the weekend for a soccer tournament. At night they were running up and down the hallway after 10pm.

Liked the availability of two free level 2 charging stations for my EV rental. The breakfast area in the atrium is spacious and enjoyable. The hotel location is near the downtown and offers easy access to various restaurants. Only thing that I didn't like was that one of the charging stations was down the entire week I stayed resulting in some problems being able to charge the car.

Dissapointing Stay for a Holiday Inn
NEGATIVE - Issues at check in with unprofessional staff and the switching of my reservation with another guest. Our suite had ants on the floor and on bed spread. Noticible maintence issues throughout (paint, broken signs). Breakfast staff not identified as hotel staff and dressed inappropriately. Sausage trays cold. POSITIVE - Plenty of parking and lighting around the building. Beds comfortable.

Perfect hotel for 49er game attendees.
Our stay was great! First off, the hotel allowed us to check in early. We came to the area to go to the 49ers playoff game and the hotel is located right across the street from the train station, which we used to get to and from the game. It was extremely convenient. My friend and I go to 3 or 4 games a year. We will be using this hotel for now on. It's convenient, clean, and accommodating.

Easy and quick check in. Room is outdated, but you get what you pay for so it’s reasonable. Came mainly with kids for the indoor swimming pool during winter time. Sad to see the jacuzzi is not open for use (it’s covered). Many walkable dining options nearby.

So just to be clear this is an older hotel that’s been upgraded. It was probably a Holiday Inn basic and now they made it into Holiday Inn express. The room we got was not too bad other than the floor was pretty dirty. Part of the problem is the hotel did not notify us that there was a soccer tournament team battalion staying at the hotel. They put us on the bottom floor next to the breakfast bar and as soon as we got there, there were mid teams running everywhere, including the second floor and making a lot of noise. The following morning it sounded like an entire school was in the lobby from all the kids running around and all the noise that was being made and we were trying to get a little extra shadow and that wasn’t going to happen. We didn’t try the pool in the spa but I did look at it and it was actually in decent condition and they had a nice outdoor seating area. The hotel has placed a lot of its broken furniture in trash at the rear of the hotel, which looked really tacky. Not sure who the hotel manager is but if you do a little extra care and cleaning the rooms a lot better, including the carpets and not allowing trash to build up at the back of the property which also includes broken furniture.

Used Expedia to book requested pay at hotel and Expedia charges my card prior to my arrival. So done with hotels .com app. The new changes aren’t beneficial in any way. Staff refused to even attempt to add credits to my new Holiday Inn membership. Odd because the same booking app was used the night before in Red Bluff and the very accommodating staff set it up. Also Adding a $21 “transient tax” to the bill at the end of the stay is rude. It may be a city/county fee but it’s not mentioned up front. Booking 3 rooms added nearly $75 to my overall bill. The floor in the swimming area is not safe. It appears sone repair work was done and the new finish is so slippery and dangerous. there were several falls. Might wanna get that fixed. On the plus side the complimentary coffee was tasty and plentiful. I didn’t get the breakfast so I can’t comment on the quality of the serve yourself buffet.
