About this property

Oyster Shack by the Bay / 4 minutes to Morehead City Waterfront/Big Rock Landing

  • This immaculate 2 bedroom, 1 & ½ bath cottage, including an enclosed double car garage, is located within minutes of downtown Morehead City’s waterfront and all the fun activities and restaurants it has to offer. The cottage can house 4 people comfortably, and I just recently replaced the couch with a sleeper sofa that can accommodate 2 additional guests. It is in a transitional neighborhood and within walking distance of the Calico Creek Boardwalk/Bird Sanctuary and Morehead City Waterfront where the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament and NC Seafood Festival are held each year. Many other water accesses are close by, including the Intracoastal Waterway and sandy beaches overlooking it. Historic Beaufort is 9 minutes away by car.

    The cottage is equipped with a full kitchen, high speed internet, and 3 smart TVs. There is also a gas grill and all kinds of equipment to enjoy the beach or try your hand at catching fish or crabs. Bring your boat as there is parking space for 3 cars and a boat with trailer.
    Well behaved and well-groomed pets are welcome for an extra fee per pet. If you would like to let them outside for a while unleashed, the enclosed garage has a doggie door that leads into a small fenced-in area outside. There is also an off-leash dog park at the Rotary Park Dog Park a few miles away from the cottage.

Very pet friendly and our dogs were very comfortable and enjoyed their stay. The place was very clean & the kitchen is completely equipped with everything you could possibly need. Would highly recommend especially to the lover.

The house was beautiful and when we arrived there was a little set a of snacks for us to enjoy. It was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need from linens to dishes and cookware. Pam was a great host. She had left snacks for us when we checked into the house. The house was decorated nicely and made for a great beach stay. The property also had great views of the water nearby. We will definitely come back for a longer stay in the future.

Lovely View in a Quiet Neighborhood

We came up to Morehead City to enjoy the NC Seafood Festival and really enjoyed our stay here. The home has a great view, the home is clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. We had everything we could need and were close to the downtown and a nice coffee shop- The Mug Shot. We highly recommend staying here!!
