"Having stayed at Bird Rock and Earthbox I'd choose Earthbox for my next visit to Friday Harbor.
Both properties are well decorated and maintained but, despite Bird Rock's convenience, for those who are walking from the ferry, Earthbox has the advantage of being a quiet location who's rooms ( or at least my room ) have sleeping areas that are not flooded with light ( during typical sleeping hours).
The staff are very helpful and welcoming."

"This house was perfectly located and with all of its windows was such a pretty and peaceful view. It was so easy to cook some meals in and located near to shops and restaurants. Our host was excellent! Very communicative and gave us very helpful advice regarding the ferry & special places to visit and eat. We would highly recommend this place to stay! You will be very happy you did!"

"Property was everything advertised and more. Such a warm and lovely home that was exceptionally clean and well stocked. The location was convenient to many areas and activities of the Island. The windows in every room brought in the natural beauty of the forest. Linens were plentiful and starter supplies were appreciated. We will lease this property again when on the Island. "

"Place was pretty clean besides some stains on furniture and carpet. Location was okay, but the view from the balcony is very limited with mostly trees obstructing the water. There are 2 doors for the entrance (first door leads to split unit), and only one code was given so I had to contact them to get the second door code. There was also no unit number given when entry instructions were provided. Directions could have been more clear. Otherwise, the stay was close to Moran State Park, and not far from town."
