Outdoors, you can gather around the fire pit, take long romps in the woods and enjoy the best star gazing you've ever known. See the Milky Way and shooting stars! This is outdoor living at its best! Two indoor fireplaces make for lots of cozy evenings! Excellent for long-term stays and multi-generational groups.
Sprawl out on the leather sofa and two armchairs in the living room or relax on the large sectional as you watch your favorite shows on the 55” TV in the loft. Gather for a family game night (tons of board games available) or start a puzzle at the upstairs game table.
Enjoy the modern and well-equipped kitchen (Kitchen Aid mixer, blender, cast iron cookware, good knives) with plenty of prep space for home-cooked meals; fire up the grill and dine al fresco or cook over the newly-renovated campfire. When it’s time to eat, gather indoors at the dining room table set for ten or at the large patio picnic table. Pots, pans, knives and gadgets make cooking a delight.
Between the three bedrooms and the loft beds, this home can sleep up to 9 guests. Two full bathrooms are each stocked with a complimentary supply of toiletries. Two of the private bedrooms have desks making them suitable for computer work.

Abundant outdoor furniture on the back porch includes an eight-person table, two armchairs, and a loveseat and two sturdy Adirondack chairs. Don't forget to enjoy the hammock in the grove!
Summer activities include canoeing and/or kayaking, river swimming, wading in a nearby stream, fishing, stargazing (watch for shooting stars and the Milky Way on clear nights!). Bring tents and camp out in the field with easy access to the house.

Plenty of room for the entire family and the dog at this well organized, appointed, and clean cabin. Almost everything you could want is provided by the owner and the private gated community is quiet beyond belief. If you are looking for a real break from the city you will not be disappointed.
We've stayed in quite a few cabins in eastern and southern West Virginia and this was one of the best. For me the privacy was the best part. It's in a beautiful part of West Virginia and close to a lot of things to do. The grandkids could get out and play without worrying about bothering neighbors. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The cabin was as advertised. The kitchen was stocked well with cookware and spices. The check in process was very simple. The Potomac scenic railroad is about 30 minutes away. It was a beautiful time of year with the fall colors to take the train through the Trough.
If you are looking to get away for some peace and quiet, this is the ideal place for you! The cabin is well maintained and clean (no signs from other dogs) and situated in a huge gated community, but far from the neighbors. Woodland surrounds the home. We loved the wildlife and saw hummingbirds on the deck each night. The views from the deck were fantastic! Our dog loved every moment too, so many areas to walk and roam.
Grace, the owner, was very attentive and even emailed to check in on us. We loved our stay.
The property was just as listed and delivered beyond our expectations.
The property owner provided us with detailed information prior to our arrival and was available regarding any questions we may have during our stay.
There was plenty of time to relax and take in the surroundings as well as share quality family time.
I don't think we watched television during our entire stay. Although it wasn't a lack of availability by the property owners.
We just had great weather, food and family.
We would absolutely stay there again.
Not only is Grace an amazing hostess and thought of everything, that is just the beginning.
The property is beautiful with amazing views and walking paths. Very accessible to shopping in “town” 10-12 min to groceries, wal-mart, etc.
Plenty of room to pick your preferred place to sleep. Want to sleep in the walk out basement bedrooms, you can… loft, sure… main floor, of course, on the deck, why not… hammock in the woods, it sure is quiet so go for it.
Not only have they thought of everything, there is endless entertainment for everyone and beautiful views off the deck. There is absolutely no noise from anyone except yourself.
We had an absolutely amazing time and plan to come back again and again.
I forgot to mention, you can bring your dog and well… 🐾🐾🐾🐾♥️♥️♥️♥️
We enjoyed our family weekend at the cabin. Everyone enjoyed the fire on a cold day in January. Plenty of room for everyone at the large table for meals. The younger folks explored the property and the small one the playground. The cabin is larger inside that it appears from outside. It was also convenient to our elderly In-laws we came to visit.
Everything was great for our 3 night stay. Kitchen is well provisioned and we especially liked the cleared out field on property. Fantastic view off the deck. Recommended.
Very nice, private cabin located within the proximity of many outdoor attractions. The bedrooms were nice and each had an individual AC unit. The kitchen is well stocked with functional appliances and cookware. Overall excellent property that we would definitely book again.
If you're looking for a break from city life, this is the place for you. The views are nice and there is plenty of outdoor space to relax, walk, campfire, etc. We spent a nice weekend with friends here.
Grace's cabin is the nicest vacation rental I've stayed in. Everything, and I mean everything was well thought through. The kitchen was well stocked, the knives were sharp, there were toys and games for the kids plus a swingset outside, they even had toys, beds and towels for the dogs! This is definitely one we'll come back to!
We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It was even nicer than the pictures suggested, with plenty of room for the whole family. We especially enjoyed morning coffee on the deck overlooking the mountains, hiking around the property by day, and huge fires in the firepit at night. Took a day trip to Davis and Thomas and enjoyed the towns and the fall foliage along the way. Thanks so much Grace, we can't wait to come back!
We had a great time! Our families enjoyed being able to relax and play on your beautiful property. The kids spent hours on the play set, and the adults spent hours relaxing on the deck. Thank you so much! We had a wonderful time, and hope to visit again next year.
This wonderful cabin was perfect for us to escape the everyday world. We felt like we were truly away from the hustle bustle of Metropolitan living. The serene and scenic views from the deck (and dining room) was a favorite of ours. The owners could not have been more kind. Enjoy! We did!
We enjoyed staying here for a belated 40th anniversary getaway. The property is beautiful and private. I especially enjoyed sitting on the back deck under the covered porch watching the mamma and pappa bluebird nesting in the birdhouse while enjoying the mountain view! Our first 2 days were very warm (96 degrees!!) but the downstairs bedrooms and living room were cool. The cabin was well stocked and the owner Grace was wonderful and helpful!
Better than advertised. Everything we needed they had. When you walk out the door there was no noise. Not used to that. Veiws were stunning. Saw all kinds of deer. Put some sugar water in the hummingbird feeders and had a couple of hummingbirds frequent them. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your hime.
Grace was an amazing host and the property was gorgeous! My wife, two dogs, and I has an absolutely amazing time at Grace's cabin. From relaxing around the fire pit or back deck enjoining the beautiful mountain views or taking our dogs to the river to splash around in the water, this trip was everything we expected and more. Grace is a great host, she provides great advice on local amenities and locations to see. She was very responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay. Overall, we cannot say enough about Grace and the cabin. Very happy!
