"Room TV didn’t work. Parts were hanging from it. It was literally only static on every channel. I left my blanket I used for medical reasons and went back later in the day to hopefully get it back, or see if a lost and found could be available but no one was in the office and I could hear the staff having a full blown party in the back. I rang the door bell, and even knocked. Nothing. They also did not answer the phone. Very bad experience over all especially since I payed over $180 for a one night stay…. "

"I should have read the other reviews before booking this hotel. This is a very old, historic hotel and it could be absolutely beautiful IF the owners and management cared. However, it was so dirty they should probably fire their cleaning staff. The bathroom wall tiles were dirty as was the sink and bathtub. I turned on the water in the tub and the water that came out initially was yellow and it stirred up black particles in and around the drain. Thankfully we were there only one night because I skipped the shower. The bathroom door didn't close because the door was too big for the frame. As for the staff, the two at the front desk were young ladies and never once did they smile or acknowledge people as they walked by. When we arrived at 3pm, the street and parking lot were completely blocked off. We didn't realize the Sugar Festival was going on right in front of the hotel. We parked a few streets over and called the hotel to ask where we should park. We were told, "Park in front and when you come in we'll give you a parking pass". I told her the street was blocked off and we couldn't park in front. I would think she should have known that since it had been closed all day. She then told us to find a place to park and they'd give us a parking pass for the bank parking lot. As for the breakfast, it was cold cereal and instant oatmeal as of 9am on a Saturday. All in all, it was the worst hotel experience we've ever had and I absolutely do not recommend it!"

"Host was very friendly,place was clean,peaceful,and close to 2 towns for reasturants and food shopping.They had a friendly cat on the property that followed us around and sat on the porch with us.We were there for 26 days so the host allowed us to use the laundery, that was a big help.I would highly recommend this place especially if your looking for some piece and quiet."
