"This was a beautiful secluded log cabin in great part of Vermont. The wood stove made for a great experience and housed us perfectly for a ski weekend.*One thing to note is the house is located 10 minutes on backroads up on a mountain. During the winter season there should be a note on the listing advising for a truck, SUV or 4W drive. My Sedan was unable to make it up to to the house the first night and lucky another guest of ours had a Ford F-150 to get us up to the home. The second night I also barely made it up and it was dangerous. Plan ahead in the winter.I am still giving this a 5 star rating as I would book again for other seasons. The home and location is beautiful and dog friendly"

"Very cozy and comfortable bedrooms, living room kitchen and bathroom. Loved the movies, games, fireplace and records. Everything worked well for our winter ski getaway. "

We would absolutely stay here again. Julie is so nice and strives to ensure guests have everything they need. We have rented many houses for ski trips and this is by far the best!! "

Sledding on the property itself was priceless. Would definitely recommend and rent again. Hosts and property manager available and easy to communicate with. "

"The River House was an excellent home for our visit to VT. We leveraged the well stocked kitchen to prepare dinners each night of our trip. The basement entertainment and pool table were big hits for our down time. The three bedrooms allowed each of us some space to relax on our own. The garage space was a super bonus in the winter to keep our car inside. We spent three days at Mount Snow and one day at Okemo and location was good to keep our driving distance reasonable. There was a nice grocery store, gas, small town shop, restaurant, and post office within 5 minute drive. Noelle (the host) was very responsive and helpful before, during, and after our stay. It is a lovely home and we had everything we needed in picturesque Vermont setting. I highly recommend this house for your stay in the area."
