"Everything about this stay was beautiful. We didn’t realize how connected they were so closely connected with The Hotel Convento do Espineiro, it was an extra bonus to use their facilities. The staff was amazing, the breakfasts are delicious. It was a step up in luxury and we loved it. The town of Évora can be seen in one day even if you inclue@ visit to the Dos Alemendres Megalithic site about 14 km out of town. We would stay again and definitely highly recommend. P.S.- Room #1 is the best...

"We had a great experience during our 2-night stay. Location was just a 5 minute ride to the historical area, nicely tucked away from the busy streets in a quiet area, but yet close enough to walk to an Inter-Marche supermarket & a few cafes. The Quinta is in a lovely traditional, well maintained setting & we felt very safe there. The owners were welcoming & eager to please. Breakfast was phenomenal, especially prepared for us as we were only guests there this time. Highly recommended!"

Convento do Espinheiro, Historic Hotel & Spa

8/10 Good

"The hotel is lovely, a little outside of Evora ($10 Uber each way, taxi even more), but the grounds are beautiful and their renovation of a convent into a hotel was well done; but some rooms are 300 steps from the center of the hotel. The pool was beautiful and very refreshing. Our car and driver didn't show to drive us to Porto and the Concierge leapt into service, getting us another driver with a large car to carry 4 people with luggage very comfortably at a slightly lower price than we would have spent."

Noble House Essence Évora - by Unlock Hotels

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel was well located in the Old City, and within walking distance to both attractions and restaurants. The room was well kept and clean. The staff was great. There was a nice full breakfast buffet included. The only awkward feature was a tiny bathroom sink located under a glass shelf, leaving no room for anything but washing hands. All in all, we would definitely recommend this property."

You'll be within walking distance of local eateries and can enjoy the slow pace of life, perhaps with a glass of local wine on a quiet evening.Alternatively, for those who appreciate more space and privacy, a stay in a 'Monte' (a traditional Alentejo farmstead) just outside the village is ideal. It's also a great time for enjoying al fresco dining at the regional restaurants. For those interested in local culture and traditions, autumn can be especially rewarding as it often coincides with local festivals celebrating the harvest.
