It has everything needed for cooking in the kitchen or bbq’ing on the terrace, and the setting within an old castle complex and in the midst of mountainous nature is just awesome. "We had an incredible stay at Casa Umbè in Pietrasanta – truly a 10/10 experience. From the start, the hosts Giovanni and Tanja were amazing. They stayed in touch via WhatsApp before and during our stay and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Since taxis are hard to find in the area, they arranged for a friend to pick us up from the train station. "Lovely accomodation with outside patio and shaded area. Cool for the summer and with underfloor heating to take the chill off the tiles throughout the year. A little noisy at night but it didn't spoil our week. The beach is about a 20 minute walk away and there are walks in the forest so you can walk for miles. The trains to Pisa, Viareggio and Lucca are cheap and the station is a 15 minute walk away. The supermarket is very close and there are other shops on the doorstep, as well as...
