"We wished we had stayed longer. This is a wonderful property, well maintained and the owners are close by. The back yard is beautifully landscaped and offers a full view of the volcano covered deck area and a small pool to cool off in. Beds are comfortable and the house offers everything you could need. La Fortuna is a hidden gem. I have been to CR over 40 times and never made it here. Great restaurants and activities and a wonderful place to relax when the day is over. Highly recomended."

"We were amazed at the sounds and sights while staying here! So many birds, monkeys and even an otter came to visit the pond! It was fun playing in the pool and the rain! Not too far from La Fortuna and small convenience shops at the end of the road. The kitchen isn’t really suitable for cooking for a family and isn’t very well equipped so probably best to eat out or make snacks only. The AC worked well and we enjoyed our stay here! Would recommend 😊👍"

"We stayed here from 5/17/24 - 5/22/24. We were 8 adults total. The house is very nice. It was very warm when we first arrived. Only the bedrooms are air conditioned. "The Ranch Villa Arenal is a gorgeous house and property. We felt at home and fell in love with Yadi the house keeper/cook and Joaquin the grounds keeper. Yadi cooked a delicious breakfast every day and Joaquin entertained us with tours of the working ranch. The Fortuna area offers many activities for all age groups. "We certainly enjoyed our stay! We had quite a bit of mis-communication with the host as well as no hot water for the first day we were there (propane tank had run out). The tiny ants all over the kitchen are probably par for the course in such a climate - I would have like a can of bug spray available.
