Beautiful hotel in magical location

We spent two amazing days at this beautiful hotel. Everything was special from the welcome to the cabins, the activities they offer and the wonderful staff who was always willing to go above and beyond. The restaurant was also great in terms of food offerings, quality and service. There were also special touches we didn’t expect like a game room and smores for the kids!

Memorable stay at the Senda.

Can't recommend the Senda Hotel enough. It provides an intimate feel of an upscale ecolodge while having all the services of a larger hotel. The staff and kitchen are top quality and you can book any activity straight from the hotel. There is plenty of wildlife on the property and also access to a nature reserve.

Sende was extraordinary. We loved our quiet cottage in the forest but also being able to access town in a short walk. The restaurant was delicious and the staff was pleasant. We were excited to experience Monteverde but hadn’t done much planning before arriving. The staff helped us coordinate tours and all their recommendations were great.

Wonderful experience. The rooms are all along a steep hill and have great views. We were given Room 28 Premium King bed which is close to the top of the hill and the views were stunning. The hotel has a number of golf carts and someone can take you up there if you need help. The grounds are beautiful and there are trails behind the property which lead to the Aguti reserve to which the hotel provides free admission. The staff and service was excellent as was the hotel restaurant, El Sapo. Our room also included snacks, drinks, and filtered water. Overall we had a wonderful time and would stay again. It definitely lives up to the hype of being one of the top places to stay in Monteverde.

Amazing Service

The service here was amazing! From the welcome greeting with drinks to the amazing fine dining restaurant service that included free made to order breakfast with fresh squeezed juices They even did a bed turn down service every evening that included a warm water bottle in your bedding to heat it and chocolate on the pillow. Free high quality snacks, beer, wine and juices in the room. I can't say enough about how every staff member was friendly, smiling and always trying to engage and make sure our stay was perfect. We will be going back and trying their other locations.

Experienced high wind (gusting to 50+mph) and rain, kept blowing louvred windows open and blowing curtains open thru the night. Front door frame also very loose so whistling noise throughout the night, miserable experience. Restaurant was very nice and grounds were beautiful. In my opinion this is a 3 star property swinging up based on property and location. We checked out after 1 night as didn’t want to go thru same thing again as weather was going to persist.

Over we had great time at the place. Great views and staff are friendly. Restaurant staff are okay as some of them are not friendly. The menu was not good and not many options. It is good to have a shuttle service to downtown for shopping, eating etc. staff are very nice and friendly.
