Heating/air conditioning unit was very noisy, as was the fan in the bathroom. There were no bedside lights. Some of the furniture in the room was broken.

Perfect? No. Excellent? Yes. This is a 2 star place so do not expect a ton more than that, but it is excellent for a 2 star place. Customer Service is actually higher than a 2 star stay / place. Super close drive and not a bad walk to ton of areas for about everything. Good choice overall.

Me and my partner went for the night and at first everything was fine. We did have to pay for a pet fee after we chose the pet friendly room which I was not expecting, she originally told us $45 and then switched it to $50 when we pulled out cash. Not a big difference whatsoever but I did think it was a little odd. Our bathroom was very small, and there was black mold in the windowsill. The lady at the front desk wasn’t very helpful, and I definitely would not stay there again but the room served its purpose. The black mold was definitely our biggest concern. It’s quite close to the pier and downtown which was nice but we still chose to drive as it is a little bit of a walk. There are great restaurants within a 10 minute drive tho!

The area is convenient. At check in as soon the receptionist knew we made our reservation through Expedia she knew the room number. The room was not anything like advertised. The furniture was outdated, the bed sheets were stained, the restroom faucet leaked, no curtains, no sliding door, the mattress is cheap spring mattress, and thin blankets. For the price and advertising I was expecting something better.

The location was convenient to go to both downtown Monterey and carmel. But our room remained dim even after turning on every light and lamp in both the room and the bathroom. The bathroom was also very old with the padding around the shower head exposed and the walls breaking down from all the moisture. The soap box in the room was also broken. Luckily there was a piece of soap by the sink. Overall the inn would be a place to stay if you were only in Monterey for a night, but if you are planning to stay longer, another place would be more comfortable.

Monterey Stays
I always stay at the Inn, when visiting the Monterey area. Great location, clean and comfortable beds. Service is also excellent. Staff always goes the extra mile when you need something. Very accommodating.

We liked our room. However, there was deferred maintenance outside. Our screen in the bathroom was torn off. There were spider webs around property like it was not being maintained.

2 outlets in our room didn’t work. The TV required cables to be unplugged and plugged in order to watch any channels and it still did not work. The hairdryer in the bathroom did not work. The evening front desk agent was incredibly kind in checking us in, and even went out of her way to make a courtesy call to see if we were the owners of the car that had their drivers door open for over an hour (it was not our car). It was pretty disappointing to pay over $400 for one night for pretty basic amenities to not even work. But the staff was incredibly nice

We only stayed for 1 night. The room was clean, there was A/C in the room, had a large bathroom and it was clean. The tv could use an update. Hardly any channels and tv was too small.

Location was great. We were able to walk to dinner each evening of our stay. Every thing we were on the peninsula to do was 15 minutes or less away. Room was on the smaller size for two queen beds, but appeared freshly renovated. The owners and staff were welcoming, helpful and very accommodating.
