About this property

'Carmel Tranquility' 2 Beaches 5 and 8mins walk from a bright & airy beach home

  • Perfect peaceful family getaway or reunion location. Sit and enjoy the gardens while listening to the waves crash on nearby Carmel Beaches. You have a choice ... We are 5 mins walk from the main Carmel Beach and 8 mins from the Carmel River State Beach.

Our home is fully licensed Monterey Commercial Vacation Rental (License Number: VR250193). Be extremely cautious booking any unlicensed Carmel property, as your booking may be cancelled without notice.

Our home is a 1750 sqft 2bed, 1 den/ 2bath beach-home with high ceilings and wall to wall LIGHT! It's tastefully appointed to help you immerse yourself in a California beach experience.

There's lots of living, cooking and 'kids play' space inside and outside the home. There's comfortable dining and sitting space for 8 in the living room, the dining room and on the back patio. We have 4 flat screen TVs, with Netflix and Amazon Prime. There is a 3D TV with 9 viewing glasses, a 3D DVD player, video library and some 3D movies! Broadband Wifi reaches all areas of the house. There is a professional 6-speaker discrete in-ceiling system.

We have a small library and the gas fireplace is remote controlled. Relaxing after a long day is easy when every bed is a memory foam mattress. Waking up, enjoy the roses, citrus trees and succulent gardens with your coffee. In short, the typical Carmel paradise. Don't be surprised to be sharing it with hummingbirds, squirrels and blue jays. The kids will love the den containing bunk beds and a secret bonus room filled with goodies!

The Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant (owned by Clint Eastwood) is a fantastic restaurant to have 200 yards from the front door. It has a Piano Bar as well as outdoor seating to watch the sunsets and the sheep! The Sunday Brunch is highly recommended ! Less than a mile (0.9miles/20mins walk) away is the shopping and restaurants of 'Carmel by the Sea' on Ocean Avenue. For an extra 5 mins you can walk back via Scenic Drive overlooking the Carmel beach. Nearby is Point Lobos State Reserve. We recommend a 5min drive and park on the road by the entrance and then walk in. It's beaches are so beautiful several movie beach scenes have been filmed there. The famous Carmel Mission, and Mission Trail Park are also about half a mile walk. Beautiful beaches and coastal paths extend for 3 miles past Carmel River State Beach towards Point Lobos and are walkable from the house if the river does not cut through the beach

It was a great stay. The check in was smooth, the house manager, Rick was very responsive. The house was well equipped and clean. The bonus room was a great surprised to kids. It's a five minutes walk to the beach and close enough to downtown where a 15 minute walk takes you to a nice coffee shop or restaurants.

A simple place to stay for a trip. We were pleased with everything and did not find any problems I can think of. At the time of our stay Air conditioning was not needed as it was cool at night. We were pleased with all of the hummingbirds in the backyard due to the flowers as well.

Wonderful Getaway!!!

We had an incredible stay with two couples and four young kids (3-7). The setup was perfect with double bunks in one room and the adjacent play room to the kids room was a game changer. Layout of the home was perfect, and setup was very kid friendly. Would 10/10 recommend for young families!

We stayed here for 5 nights in May 2026. Communication and check-in were very easy. There was some black mildew on the bottom of the master bedroom's curtain liner. I am sure this is from its location over a sliding patio door. Otherwise, this home was very clean. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked. There was even laundry detergent available. The layout keeps the bedrooms from being on top of each other. The hidden playroom is unique. We loved the interior and exterior decorations. The neighborhood is quiet and close to Carmel's beaches and shops. It only took us an easy drive of 10-15 minutes to get into Monterey each day. The price is certainly fair. I would definitely stay in this home again.

Nice house. Close to Mission Ranch, the Mission, and beaches

Nice quiet neighborhood surrounded by other fairytale type properties. Very peaceful walks to and from the local sites. Only a 5 minute drive to Point Lobos which cannot be missed. The garage has been converted to a spectacular playroom for little ones. Only thing missing in the house was extra blankets.

Great location, comfortable home, quiet neighborhood

Good beds, lovely backyard for enjoying a meal. Smart TV made it easy to watch the US Open. It was an easy walk down to the beach or downtown. The home was well decorated and equipped. We'd definitely book this home again next time we head to Carmel.

Perfect Carmel Beach Stay

This is our second time using this house for a small family get together. We have kids ages 4 - 10 and between the bunk room and play room there is plenty of space to keep them entertained. The walk to the beach is only a few blocks and this side of town hardly gets any of the tourist traffic. Cant wait to return next year.

A Carmel-by-the-Sea Gem!

We loved our stay in this beautiful house in the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea. The house was perfect for our needs and we loved being able to walk easily to the beach. This house is perfect for kids. Tranquility indeed!

This cottage with its lovely gardens and outdoor areas manages to exude tranquility despite being short blocks from the famous beaches that dazzle visitors to Carmel. The furnishings are comfortable and tastefully chosen and the kitchen is amply equipped. It feels like home, if your home were in beautiful Carmel. And the play room is Heaven for young family members. Our granddaughter was enchanted. We look forward to returning next year.

Carmel hideaway

The location of the home is perfect! Beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water, all basic kitchen appliances provided, lovely automated fireplace and a great propane bbq. Brand new washer/dryer. Lots of durable furniture ideally suited for fam with young children. Would have really liked additional soft/comfy furniture for evening gatherings. Lovely garden. Very low key/beach house vibe.
