About this property

A historic house overlooking the main square of an Italian village

  • Welcome to Casa Montefiori, a historic family home overlooking the main square of one of Italy’s most beautiful villages.

Located in Montefiore dell’Aso, officially listed among Italy’s most beautiful villages, Casa Montefiori offers a rare combination of authenticity, tranquility, and a truly unique setting. The house is the only private residence directly overlooking the main square, where daily life unfolds gently amid the sound of church bells, the historic civic tower, and the town hall.

From the windows, you can enjoy unobstructed views of the square and experience the quiet rhythm of village life, far from mass tourism. Despite its peaceful atmosphere, the location is central and convenient, allowing you to step outside and immediately immerse yourself in the authentic character of the village.

Casa Montefiori is not a standard holiday rental, but a carefully preserved family home. It once belonged to our grandparents and still exudes a sense of beauty, balance, and elegance. Original architectural features such as exposed brick, traditional materials, wooden furniture, and carefully selected details create a warm and refined atmosphere throughout the house.

The property is a spacious three-story home (approximately 211 sqm) designed to comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests, offering both privacy and shared living spaces.

    The layout includes:

a welcoming entrance and a large living area, ideal for relaxing or spending time together
a fully equipped kitchen and a secondary kitchen area
    three bedrooms:
    • a master bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom
    • a second bedroom with twin beds that can be converted into a double
    • a third bedroom with bunk beds, ideal for children
an additional bathroom and a quiet study space, perfect for reading or remote work

On the top floor, a charming attic space opens up to views of the surrounding hills and mountains, offering beautiful sunsets and soft natural light that sets the mood for the more leisurely moments of the day: breakfasts, dinners, or simply time to unwind.

The house is equipped with fiber-optic internet, making it suitable for longer stays or remote work while maintaining a strong connection to its historical identity.

The location is ideal for exploring the Marche region: the Adriatic coast is about a 10-minute drive away, while the Sibillini Mountains and Gran Sasso National Park offer beautiful hiking opportunities within about an hour’s drive. The surrounding area is rich in vineyards, local restaurants, cultural sites, and small villages waiting to be discovered.

Returning to Casa Montefiori in the evening means coming back to a place that remains quiet, serene, and authentic—a rare balance between accessibility and seclusion.

Casa Montefiori is built around a clear vision of hospitality: a balance of beauty, elegance, and a sense of community. It is not just a place to stay, but a place to experience with care and awareness, where every detail contributes to a refined and authentic atmosphere.

Casa Montefiori is best suited for guests seeking a refined and authentic experience: families, couples, or small groups who appreciate beauty, tranquility, and a strong sense of place.
